We had been looking at cars for a couple of weeks and urgently needing one but when you're spending that kind of money, you want what is the best price for what you're getting and if you're going to be paying so much it better be good. So we chose a car. We were told its a deal $XXX a month. Ok sounds great right? sure did.... Then we go to pick up the car on Thursday of last week. I knew something was wrong the second we walked in. First its the 12 year old looking finance guy with the attitude who tells us our payment isn't going to be what we were told, it will be $98 a month more. After my reaction suddenly it was dropped down to only $40.00 a month more. Second, the vehicle I picked out was not even ready to be picked up, it was in the used car lot. We walked out angry and upset. We then talked it over and decided on working it out because we really liked this car and this was the one we wanted. So I call the salesman back and leave him a message. I even sent him an email. No response that night, he had gone home for the day. Ok that's fine. The next am I get an email telling me that since the deal blew up the night before that someone is coming from Rochester to look at the car and its out of his hands. So I call the sales manager who was basically useless. I told him on top of all of the issues that I was also upset about the fact that the car we were supposed to pick up was not even ready to go. He assured me it was and I told him it was sitting in the used car lot and it was not. So Friday we get there to sign the papers and think all of the nonsense if over... yea guess again! Still my car is sitting in the used car lot not ready to go. I said something to my salesman and he pointed to a car and said "no your car is right there" pointing at a car I have NEVER seen in my life before. I about lost my mind right then and there. I said look I drove two vehicles with you and that is not one of them and that is NOT the car I am purchasing. So after everything then he comes back and tells me the car I want is $800 more. Not my problem I didn't make this mistake. I knew which car I was talking about. He kept trying to badger me about the price difference. Not my fault I have been negotiating on one car and they chose some random car out of the air to negotiate with me. I only drove 2 and neither of them were even that model. So we told them not to detail the car. Salesguy said he would wash it quick and gas it up..... yea neither of those happened. I was maybe 1 1/2 miles from the dealership when the low fuel light went on. No worrys Basil I will NEVER darken your doorstep again. I will also make sure anyone I know is aware of how crappy I was treated. The only person I liked was the finance lady that was there. The rest of them - useless.... More

They tried, after the fact I signed and processed the paperwork to finance a used car with the Joe Basil Chevrolet dealership. Communication wasn’t good from the start. It had got to the point to where I even called my bank to see if it was too late for me to cancel everything seeing as I decided to finance. Some employees at the dealership made me feel as if I was a bother and their attitudes were not the most pleasant. I was notified by my bank that it was in fact, too late to scrap the entire deal. The day started at around 2PM and I wasn’t home until after7:30PM (still without my car). After more miscommunication I went into the dealership, having to call them instead of being called, to pick up my paperwork and be transported to the DMV to pick up my plates. I had special ARMY Veteran plates stored already. Long story short I had dealer plates on my car (that I have now signed paid for) and I get to the DMV to find out the Title paperwork was not signed, and the Transaction Receipt was not properly filled out so I could not retrieve my plates. The associate following me to the DMV had left before I knew he arrived, and what I did not realize was that he took the dealer plates with him. I realize it is not very common for them to deal with customers who already have their own plates so I understood that mistakes could happen sending the paperwork outside the dealership, but I was stranded now with my new car and no plates. So, for about 20 or so minutes I sat in my car parked outside the now closed DMV. in a car I cannot drive. The sales associate comes to put the plates back on and we drive 30 more minutes back to the dealership where they correct the paperwork and say they will give me a rental. I purchased a 2015 Infiniti Q50. The rental I sign for I see is a very old (maybe a 2007) Chevy Impala. At this point I don’t care as much because I expect to have my vehicle the next day. The second issue arose when I open the rental door. As you’ll see in the pictures it was absolutely filthy. I couldn’t sit in it without feeling disgusting. All of this happened after the dealership received a loan from my bank and I myself paid over $5,000 out of pocket and traded in my motorcycle. After much frustration I was deeply disappointed with the level or lack of care I have received from this dealership. As a Veteran, a local University student and just a young woman I was let down on all levels. There were a few individuals my salesperson included who have addressed what they could at their level, took responsibility for what they could and apologized for my experience and helped rectify it in what ways they could at the time. From staying late to detailing the car to coming in on their day off to drop my vehicle off to me, which is appreciated. Actions like these have allowed me to remain calm and not be as frustrated as I would have been without their help, concern and common decency. Eventually after some emails and inquiries were sent out to the local leadership at the dealership, I received a call. They explained that this is not how they conduct business and did apologize for my experience. Their solution to make things as right as they could were offering me their direct contact information, which I appreciate and 2 free oil changes which I won’t be accepting for the simple fact that I never want to step foot onto any dealership again. More

Poor service department I went in with an appointment for an oil change, I was told it would be done within the hour, at the 90 minute mark I went and asked how much longer, I went in with an appointment for an oil change, I was told it would be done within the hour, at the 90 minute mark I went and asked how much longer, I was abruptly told it was going to be at least an hour and was told not long, in the car wash now, it was 15 more minutes and still no truck and they said if I skip the car wash I could be done, 15 minutes later I left with a dirty truck only to find a nice greasy hand print on my truck seat!! More

I took my Jeep Patriot to get my heater fixed. I had an appointment at 10am on Wednesday and did not get my vehicle back until the next day!!!!! This is inexcusable....I kept leaving messages and I finally appointment at 10am on Wednesday and did not get my vehicle back until the next day!!!!! This is inexcusable....I kept leaving messages and I finally got a reply at 6pm at night... They couldn't figure out what was wrong with my heater... They claim that they have master mechanics????? Ha ha ha.. The only person who was very nice was the courtesy shuddle driver. The ONLY reason I took my vehicle here was that My husband and I purchased it here!!! I should have gone to a Jeep dealership.I hope I have better luck next time.. More
