People Have a General Mistrust of Car Dealers... This is Why I physically went to the service department on March 11, 2020 to address an issue with a recall part. I was told that they would put the part on orde I physically went to the service department on March 11, 2020 to address an issue with a recall part. I was told that they would put the part on order and they would contact me when it was ready to come in. On May 11, 2020 (2 months later) I still had not heard back from the dealership, so I called them. After some back and forth with the representative, they informed me that the guy had not placed the order for the part, and that I would need to come back to the dealership for them to take photos of the faulty piece (why hadn't the first guy done this??). I am glad that I requested paper documentation the first time I went in, because otherwise there may be no record that I had gone in within the allotted time period for the recall piece. I will say that the lady I spoke to the second time did do her best to rectify the other guy's mistake, and has so far been very helpful and informative. The part will not come in now for several months (who knows if it would have come sooner if they had placed the order back in March when I first went in). I just hope that this is relatively painless moving forward to get the issue fixed. More
