Below is a letter I sent to the dealer explaining how I was treated by Brandon Welch and Justin Parrish. As an out of state buyer, of one of their consignment cars, when it was brought to their attention that the car was not as advertised, they abruptly said "take it or leave it" This is after I bought airline tickets, and wired them the money for the car! I lost all my expenses. Below is the letter I sent. Brandon's response? "Good luck with everything" Unscrupulous dealer. STAYAWAY. To Brandon Welch and "Justin" sales supervisor; Gentleman. A quick note to follow up on our transaction. I find it interesting Brandon, that you call what happened and my costs involved an "inconvenience". It may be an inconvenience to you, but for me, more of an issue. Shameful behavior from a large dealership, that I trusted in good faith. The fact that you would hide behind your disclaimer: "we are not responsible for typographical errors" regarding the trailer hitch. Which you know Brandon, I repeatedly asked you about from the beginning of our interaction. And your refusal to give an inch on price because of your error-- and the issue with the cargo cover? First the story, "the owner has it but can't locate it" changes to "not included." Again no apology, no offer to make good. I could almost forgive one problem….lose out on the hitch or the cover, but not both without some form of price adjustment for what I would have to spend to rectify on my own. Frankly, I'm amazed… You made it so I felt like on a personal level, by how I was being treated, I had to refuse the car. My deal was with your dealership not the owner. I believe it is your obligation to rectify any problems. That's what I do in my own business dealings. Hiding behind "it's not our car" does not excuse your responsibility. Of course you will cite "legally we have no responsibility" but morally, to "do the right thing" is the right business practice. I was buying the car from Jimmy Britt. I wired Jimmy Britt $27,879. Not the owner… Shameful for a multi million dollar franchise. Because of your lack of attention to detail, refusal to honor your "advertised condition" and then refusal to try and make it right, I incurred costs AND lost work for the 3 days I had allocated for picking the car. 1) Plane Flight to Atlanta. non refundable: $150 2) wire transfer fees non refundable: $50 (two banks) 3) I took 3 days off work I get an average of $900/day 4) I wired you the money on 2/24. You didn't wire the money back like I requested, instead, you made me wait for a check, that according to my bank's funds availability schedule will not be available until MARCH 11th; I lose interest and use of money (for another car purchase until that time) Your costs? After a long negotiation with Brandon, and at the eleventh hour when it became apparent that he misrepresented the used car being purchased, he got Justin involved who treated a member of my family with no respect and with an arrogance that should never be allowed in any dealership. Beware of their game and be prepared for the nastiness of Justin. He is in the wrong profession and needs to learn how to treat people. More

Worth the long drive I drove 2.5 hours to this dealer trying to buy an elusive all-new 2015 GMC Canyon they had in stock. Much to my dismay, due to a misunderstanding wit I drove 2.5 hours to this dealer trying to buy an elusive all-new 2015 GMC Canyon they had in stock. Much to my dismay, due to a misunderstanding with the person I spoke with on the phone, the truck I drove there for was not there, they had a similar truck but not the exact one I had called about!! I was NOT happy. That being said, the dealer staff was very apologetic and went above and beyond to assure me they would do their best to find me the truck I wanted right there and then. They contacted several dealerships trying to find the truck I was looking for. After several attempts, an available truck was located and we worked out a deal that very same day. In short, they turned what could have been a horrible customer experience into a very positive one. They ended up swapping one of their trucks with a dealer in Tampa, Florida that had the truck I was looking for. I mention this because my local dealer was NOT willing to find me a truck farther than about 200 miles away. In other words, my local dealer never considered getting a truck from as far away as Tampa but Jimmy Britt Chevrolet did just that. A couple days after our initial visit, my elusive truck was delivered to us all the way from Tampa. The finance manager was easy to work with and offered to help should any issues come up - even issues outside financing. The entire staff made us feel like they want to keep you as a customer for longer than a single sale. It was a pleasant shopping experience with none of the usual high-pressure tactics and craziness you can find at some dealers. Everyone we dealt with was professional and helpful. In short, I'm glad I made that 2.5 hour drive each way. More

To begin with, they were dishonest about the interior condition of a car that I drove over 2 hours to view. I should have followed my instincts at that point and taken my business elsewhere, but I liked the car and they assured me it would be cleaned professionally. Within 30 days of purchasing the car, I took it to Honda to have routine maintenance performed. The Honda mechanics identified two major power steering rack leaks that had nearly drained all of the power steering fluid from the tank. I find it very hard to believe that the mechanics at Jimmy Britt would not have seen leaks this major during their inspection. Of course, when I confronted the sales manager with this he insisted the leaks must not have been there during their inspection and insinuated they must have happened within the 30 days since I bought the car! He did not even apologize for an issue that was not only expensive, but could have potentially been dangerous. The repairs cost me $1500! More
