Until recently my tundra was only serviced with Jim White. 8 months ago when I had my oil changed my service advisor told me my brakes needed to be changed. He told me the price for all of my brakes White. 8 months ago when I had my oil changed my service advisor told me my brakes needed to be changed. He told me the price for all of my brakes was $650. I told him to do all of my brakes. This week I took my truck in for an oil change and this same service advisor came out after my service to talk to me about the inspection where he informed me that my back brakes were bad and needed to be done. I asked him how this was possible seeing as the dealership replaced all of my brakes 8 months ago. This was when I found out that they didn’t replace my front and back brakes. They only did the front brakes 8 months ago. There is no way that both sets of brakes didn’t need to be done 8 months ago. They are dishonest and have shown they are willing to nickle and dime their customers. I will never buy a car from them or take my truck back to them for service. More
On the morning of January 9, 2023, I was in the middle of a 24 hour road trip. When going through Ohio, the rear lift on my Toyota broke. It was situated so I could not close the tail gate. I had to have my vehicle towed to a Toyota service center. I selected Jim White Toyota as it was the only Toyota dealer within two hours of where i was located. When I finally got there I was first told I would have to wait 3 hours for them to even look at the vehicle. I still had 9 hours left to drive to get home. I explained the situation. The service person would not budge until I asked to speak to the manager. The manager okayed my request, that they would look at the vehicle sooner then that. This was a 5 minute fix. All they needed to do was remove two bolts and cut a wire. I told them that. After about and hour they looked at the vehicle. Took the lift part off so I could shut the tail gate. And then charged me $163, which I thought was outrageous. I talked to my Faulkner Toytota dealer and explained what happened. He said that was rediculous. They would have done it as a service to a loyal Toyota customer and not charged them anything. I did call Jim White Toyota after I talked to my Toyota service person. I left a voice mail message for the general manager and never heard back from him. I am disappointed that loyalty to Toyota means little to Jim White Toyota. More
