I recently purchased a pre-owned 2012 Dodge Avenger. From the first test drive I was told by the salesman that it was a V6. For the two weeks that followed I was very happy with my experience with Carr From the first test drive I was told by the salesman that it was a V6. For the two weeks that followed I was very happy with my experience with Carriage Nissan and would have recommended them to anyone. That is, until I went to have the 30 thousand mile service and new tires put on the car. It was then that I discovered that it is a 4 cylinder. I called my salesman on the Saturday after I had the tires put on. I asked him if he recalled my purchase of the Avenger with the V6. He said that he did. I told him that I had discovered the car to be a 4 cylinder. He responded with shock; acknowledging that he remembered we had talked about it being a V6 (I was glad of that)He asked me what I 'wanted to do' or what I 'expected / wanted'. I told him that I certainly didn't want to bring the car back after I had the service done and the new tires installed, but that I would at a minimum expect some type of adjustment since we 'bargained' for a car being represented as a V6. He said he would talk to his ;manager; and for me to call him on Monday. I called on Monday and after placing me on hold for quite some time he came back on the phone to tell me that "everything was done legally and nothing would be done". That wasn't the response I expected. I really thought the 'error' / 'mix-up' would be acknowledged and they would make it right somehow. I suppose I should have had someone look at the car, but who would think you need to look under the hood of an almost new car! Very disappointed in response of dealership. It is now one week after placing the above post. I have spoken with the Customer Relations Manager several times. Dealership takes no responsibility. She said that "4cyl." was in the paperwork but I have looked through all of the paperwork that I signed and 4cyl. vs. 6cyl. is not specified. During a conversation yesterday she told me that incoming calls to the dealership were recorded. I told her if they would locate the call they would hear the salesman talking to me about having told me that it was a 6cyl. Whenever I talked to her today she said that calls on the particular line on which I called in (the main number) weren't recorded. How convenient! Whenever I asked her about any conversation with the salesman, who I was certain would be honest, she told me that his manager said that he didn't recall the phone call that I described. This simply can't be true. If a customer calls a salesperson and tells them that the item they have sold them was misrepresented in some way the salesperson is NOT going to fail to recall that conversation when asked. IF they are asked. I have been told by this 'dealership' more than once that this was a legal purchase. I am not disputing the legality of the purchase. Sadly, legality and integrity are often mutually exclusive. In the beginning of this situation I told both the salesperson and the CSR that I intended to keep the car (now serviced with new tires) but i honestly believed that this dealership would, at a minimum, offer some type of concession for having misrepresented my purchase as there is a distinct difference in the value of the 4cyl. vs. a 6cyl. model. We had a great experience at Carriage Kia in Gainesville, after talking to their web department we were told to talk to Lenard Walker when we arrived, however Lenard was with other customers, he asked if Mic after talking to their web department we were told to talk to Lenard Walker when we arrived, however Lenard was with other customers, he asked if Michael who had greeted us could take care of us, we said sure. Michael was very knowledgeable about the Kia Soul which we were looking at, he answered our questions and took us out for the test drive after coming back to the dealership he worked with us till the sale was final and they handed us the keys. Was most surprised how fast it got around that we were buying the car when Lenard came over to congratulate us on our purchase. Everyone was so friendly and Chelsea Walker was our Delivery Specialist, she did an awesome job walking us through all the new technology and helping sync our phones to the Bluetooth system in the car. I called a few days later with a question, and they were so quick to answer and again still so very friendly and I got my answer. I highly recommend this Kia dealer! As a former Honda owner I am very pleased and happy with my new Kia Soul! More
Great experience! My Sales Associate was very kind , understanding and a real person making my experience very smooth. I have tarnished Credit and my Purchase was as important as the family purchasing understanding and a real person making my experience very smooth. My delivery Speacialist was patient and sweet as can be. Very thorough and new the questions that I was going to ask even as the words were coming out of my mouth. Great experience with Carriage Kia! Bought a 2012 Chevy Malibu at a good price. Looks like the price was good because it was missing lug nuts and the rear door and window didn't work. Hardy Chevy fixed those items at no cost, even though th the price was good because it was missing lug nuts and the rear door and window didn't work. Hardy Chevy fixed those items at no cost, even though they said it looked like the door had been in an accident. Kudo's to Hardy Chevy. I had to go back 3 times to Carriage to get reimbursed for the lug nuts and never received my $25 visa gift card for test driving a car. Dustin was a nice guy and I enjoyed working with him but the lack of inspection of the vehicle by the dealership says alot about the quality of the product they are putting on the used car section. Never had any issues like this with any car dealership before and I am very disappointed. More
