Our family has two optimas purchased from carriage,one of which had just had engine problems exactly as described in recall letter. Contacted carriage and talked with Alex who basically said he didn't know what the letter said as he did not drive a kia. The car was in south carolina where it had broken down and we were trying to figure out how to get it repaired following the recall. Alex said I probably needed to contact kia customer service as he could not help us. I contacted kia customer service and they directed me to Anderson kia in south carolina ,where they were very helpful and repaired our car under the recall. We now have the car back and it runs fine with a new engine. Thanks to Alex and his attitude,we will not be dealing with carriage in the future. More

Steer Clear of Tyler My parents have 2 Sorentos from Carriage Kia so when my boyfriend needed a new car, that was the first place we went. We looked at their prices online My parents have 2 Sorentos from Carriage Kia so when my boyfriend needed a new car, that was the first place we went. We looked at their prices online to see if it was double because he has a strict budget. We found a car online and looked at all the details and it seemed like great car at a great price so we went to go look at it. We drove the same model, same color car and everything and we both really liked it. We went to the table and discussed the max budget and the salesperson said he thought they could get close to it. 5 minutes later he brings over one of the managers, Tyler, to discuss the numbers. The original sales guy was way off the number that Tyler said was the GM bottom line price. We showed them the car we found online and he thought the price was a misprint. They later found the car which would being used by staff so we got in to drive it and it had someone's stuff all in it, the was dirty, had scratches, and already had 10k miles on it. Absolutely none of that was stated online of course. They were going to let us have this "new" car for $1500 less than a new new car. I went back and forth with Tyler a bit trying to understand the prices and everything. They gave us the run around. His language was terrible, offensive, and constant. At the end of the night, even had we come to an agreement on the price, I would not have wanted to give him our business. I was very disappointed. I was going to look at buying a car there at the end of the year but I will not be giving them my business. We went to Carriage Nissan afterwards and have a much better experience and walked out with a brand new car that night. More

When I took it for a test drive I gave my keys to the salesman to have his boss value it. After test drive salesman wanted to know how much I would pay. I wanted to know what my trade was worth. We went back and forth and when I made it clear I didn't like how long this was taking the boss finally drove mine around the lot and said mine was worth $2k. No problem. All this time they had my key hostage. I finally got my key back and told salesman to email his deal. He didn't. Called the next day to remind him to email, I never heard back. I went to Lou Sobh Kia and bought a great car with no hassles 2 days later. More

First off when we purchased the vehicle they were rushing us out the door and it seemed like it was an inconvenience for them to stay after hours to make a sale. Once the papers were signed, the salesman handed us one key and said come back in the morning for it to be detailed and then left while we were still working with the finance manager on the final paperwork. Under the assumption that I would be getting the second key the following day I figured it was no issue. I emailed directly after the purchase to send over documents needed for the bank along with asking for the second key. When I went to get it detailed I asked about the key. The salesman said I'm not sure that there is a second key, let me look. The car was detailed and the salesman told me there's not a second key but I can buy one for $300. I asked why I was not told about this from the beginning and they said I had to ask. It's not common practice for them to provide major details such as a $300 key. We are not talking about a $25 car mat, this is $300. When I spoke to the manager he told me that there's nothing they can do. I will be contacting the owner about the lack of service this place provides. I also want people to know that when you buy to make sure you have a list of questions about the vehicle because they will not mention key components when you purchase and when you drive off the lot they will tell you.. "too bad, but you can pay us for whatever it is we didn't inform you about" I have purchased many vehicles used from individuals and dealerships and have never had such terrible service after the purchase. This is not a recommended dealership and I would highly encourage you to look at another Kia Dealership. More

They were all polite and professional and impressive. Meagan was extremely professional and knowledgeable. I explained what we were looking for and our budget. I was extremely honest. Carriage Kia is in Gainsville and about an hour drive from our home. I wanted to make sure that the pricing was clear before we spent our time and theirs. I told her what our budget was and explained the top amount. The emailed quote came back high today. I explained to her that again, this was out of the budget. She said that she would talk to her manager and get back to me. She called me back and said he said that he would take care of you. Wow. I was obviously not intelligent to play this kind of game with Meagan and her manager. When we arrived, we test drove the vehicle. It was nice and showed a little wear as we expected with the mileage. It also needed a couple new tires, which they said they would remedy. We had planned to take it to the Volvo dealer to get it checked out if we could get to an agreeable price. When we sat down to discuss price, Meagan brought back the quote with almost 100.00 off of it. Wow, is this what they called taking care of us? We would have even negotiated a little or even compromised in the middle of our budget and their price, but she said it was firm. I was proud of my son. He got up from the table and said, we are done here. Thank you. I was proud of him as he had learned to be wise with foul play. Jake and I walked out and got in our car to make the long drive home. Meagan came out and said, we do not chase customers out like we use to. I should have said, well go back inside then, but I didn't think it was kind. It is unfortunate as I was so impressed initially with Lizbeth, the receptionist, and Meagan, and the rest of the staff. I expected more from Kia. More
Issue is still not being resolved. After an Interview with the GM of Carriage Kia, there still has not been resolved. My requests to resolved this issue has gone on deaf ears. Kia has given me the iedea that they(Kia) wanted to resolve this matter, none of the offers which were made was in my opinion done to benefit or retain the trust issue at hand. This entire incident has left a bad taste in my mouth with service and well as with upper management. Customer satisfaction is suppose to be top priority, but in this instance I see that is not upheld to the highest standards with Carriage Kia. Management stated, "We want to do whatever it takes to make it right," well actually they don't. More

I absoulutely love Carriage Kia!! The service dept. staff is always very friendly! I had to go in for a oil change recently, the waiting area, and restrooms are always spotless. It's very comfortable to sit and wait, and the free k-cup coffee is delicious. They also gave me a complimentary car wash. My car was so clean it looked as if I had just bought it that day!
