I was looking for a new car. I drove a ford and a GM suv before the Kia Sorento the Kia had every thing the ford and GM Product Had. It Was Also Cheaper. I had a tough financial situation with a recent bankruptcy and a severely upside down trade, but the Michael and the staff at Carriage worked really hard to get me in a better car. I appreciate that they walked me through all the features of the car before i left and even programmed my phone into the bluetooth. Jeremy helped with that and was very knowledgeable. ************************** An update to my previous rating: DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY!! I trusted them because of their advertising on The Fish radio, but they managed to cheat me out of almost $5000. I feel completely stupid for trusting them. I first found what I hoped to be a mistake in my paperwork when my first payment came due. They added the payoff amount of my trade-in to the sales price of the new car but failed to add in any credit for its value. My negative equity was somewhere around $6000 but they charged me a full $9046. This means that the entire payoff of my old truck is included in my current financing, yet they kept it. The absolute worst part is that when I pointed this out, they denied any error in the paperwork. Just to be sure, I had it checked by a CPA and my math is correct. I tried to speak to several people, up to and including the owner, David Basha. I sent a fax addressed to him and soon thereafter got a call from Chris Ellison, the operations manager. He agreed to meet with me to go over the paperwork. However, he did not meet with me; he sent someone else...Brian Seagraves. Brian was very cordial and went over my paperwork with me and could not explain the math to me either. (The salesman who sold me the car, Michael Paglianti, could not explain the numbers and a financing person named J.T. called me about it but refused to acknowledge an error.) When Brian checked it, he used an increased figure for taxes and a decreased offer for my trade, so I was extremely frustrated with the numbers, but it did show a $1572 error in my favor at last. Brian took the figures to his higher-ups and promised to call me with a resolution. He emailed the next day an offer of $1000. What a slap in the face! The numbers changed to be less and less in my favor, yet they couldn't even give me that! They have a service that allows them to hold checks for 30 days. I really wasn't expecting this and was just going to see where I stood financially so that in a month or so I could go back knowing how much down payment I'd need and whether financing was an option at all. They offered to hold a check for $4750 which really was a great service. However, when I pointed out the error and could not get anyone to call me back, I stopped payment on my check. I provided written notice via email to a sales manager, Chuck, who never responded at all. I stated clearly that I intended to pay as soon as the amount was corrected and I absolutely did. Their response, however, was to simply ignore me and turn the check over to the check guarantee service. In this way they were able to overcharge me without recourse, since now I'm someone else's problem. The check company is merely a collection service and has harassed me for the payment, even though I've shown them extensive documentation proving my case. I'm afraid to let go of the money; they say that I could contact the financing company, who in turn told me it wasn't their issue. So in essence each company says it's an issue I should take up with the other companies, and I am cheated out of my money or old vehicle that I fully paid off. I may never see my money and may possibly have to pay more now, but I want to keep anyone else from having this experience. Please don't trust them. There are plenty of other dealerships! If you must deal with them and your deal is anything but straightforward (no negative equity), HAVE A CPA LOOK AT IT! I was really hoping to experience that "Carriage Difference" spoken about on The Fish 104.7, but so far the difference has been only heartache. Oh, and one last thing...the positive reviews on here are paid for. I received a $25 gift card, but only after my positive review was confirmed. I first started thinking about a new car in April, and each time a car caught my attention it was a Sorento. We bought the Sorento LX V6 because we wanted the extra power for interstate driving and we prefer the look of the cloth seats. The car is a dream to drive. The salesmen who helped us were all helpful and patient with my long decision-making. We were pleased with our deal. Carriage Kia was recommended to me by a relative and I would recommend it to others. I love this car! More

My husband and I drove from Clarksville, TN to buy a car from Carriage Kia. We were recommended through USAA. J.T was the dealer that helped us out through the phone and ultimately getting to Georgia to b from Carriage Kia. We were recommended through USAA. My husband says that if it wsn't for him we would not have driven all this way to get a car. When we got to the dealership we didn't deal with J.T but was equally blessed to have Shane as our dealer. He worked hard to help us out in everyway. And if he didn't know the answer he quickly went to make sure he got the answer. He moved with a purpose and worked very hard to keep us satisfied. His customer service manners were top notch and I recommend either of the two dealers to deal with in Kia. The experience definitley made the drive worth taking. Not to forget about the service rep to help us learn about our car before we drove off. Jeremy was excellent in explaining the functions of the vehicle and also at answering any questions we might have. The crew was very helpful and amazing. Michael was very direct in my purchase options, this was the best car buying experience I've had. I went in with clear limitation and Michael was able to quickly and efficiantly show me what options fit into my limitations. I had tried to purchase a Kia Sportage at our local dealership. They only had one with the options I wanted, but it wasn't a color I liked. When I finally convinced them I wouldn't accept the color they had, they said they could get a dealer trade. I told them what I was willing to pay (a price that was more than what one well respected website said was reasonable), and they pulled all the old tricks: having to go talk to the manager (repeatedly), not wanting to give me the rebate I was entitled to, insulting my intelligence by saying they weren't making any profit on the car, etc., and refusing to budge from a price that was almost $1000 more than what I said my bottom line was. I walked out, and started researching other dealers. I found Carriage online and was amazed that their internet price was lower than what I had offered the other dealer, plus it stated that the price included everything except tax, tags, and title (I was paying cash with no trade-in). Plus, I got the $500 rebate that the other dealer wanted to keep for himself. I had to drive 200 miles, but it was worth it. I got exactly what I wanted, at a good price, without a lot of hassle. My experience at carriage Kia was great. I was able to do everything with one person start to finish rather than being shuffled from room to room and person to person.
