I am in the market for a used car with some pretty detailed specifications. I have dealt with multiple dealers while on my search and Jim Shorkey in Gainesville definitely stands out. They were honest and helpful I cannot say the same for others. I just sent a text to my sales person, Summer, I hope that she is able to come across a car that fits my needs because I would way rather do business there than any place else. Some things that stood out was the car that I went to see was actually there and ready for me to drive at the time of my appointment. It was also available at the price of the listing without crazy unexpected fees. These things seem basic but they’re actually pretty hard to find. More
You can hardly get a live person on the phone to help you, and once you do, Tara is short and unfriendly. We have to nag them to get them to return our call and they only have ONE technician who is able you, and once you do, Tara is short and unfriendly. No offer for a loaner vehicle, and our request has gone unanswered. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! Since posting the original review. We have changed our rating, thanks to the service manager, Tim, who was very responsive and assisted us in getting our issues resolved. More

I had an appointment to order a new car, it took so long, I looked around for my sales person and just got up and left. I hit the one hour mark and was done. I kindly sent an email upon departure and rescheduled for two days later. Upon my return, everything went way smoother. When discussing money, they wanted a $10k deposit and $40k over sticker on a vehicle they didn’t even have an allocation on. Obviously, I gave them a best and final offer and it was declined so I left. The following Monday, another dealership offered me a real allocation at MSRP with no deposit. I thought things would change for the better with the new ownership; however, that was wishful thinking. I am all for supporting my local economy but Jim Sharkey will never earn my business. The parts department is slow too. More

Took our vehicle there while on vacation due to CEL, ABS and many other lights on. Derek Mugge and the service department determined that the fuse panel in the engine compartment and the wiring harness burn and many other lights on. Derek Mugge and the service department determined that the fuse panel in the engine compartment and the wiring harness burned up and it would be $3976 to repair. Had car towed home to Florida and it was just the battery. NOTHING burned up! NEVER trust this dealership! More
This was our first visit to Lake Lanier Mazda. Was very satisfied with both the salesman and the dealership. Trey was honest and straight forward (very rare) and he got us very close to our price without a lot of negotiating. Trey even drove to our home the next day to return items left at the dealership. We were very satisfied with their friendly and polite service and we got just what we wanted. More

Scammers Busted By MAZDA USA! Believe the One Star Reviews for this bad dealer. Went to the dealer to set up an appointment for a recall on my Mazda. I gave the adviser Brandy my r Believe the One Star Reviews for this bad dealer. Went to the dealer to set up an appointment for a recall on my Mazda. I gave the adviser Brandy my recall notice and she took all my information and gave me the appointment information. When I showed up for the appointment it was like she had never spoke to me and I had to provide all my information again. Her snobby attitude irritated me in the first place but when I requested that No Other Work be done on my car, no inspection, no diagnostic, car wash etc. She gave me false information that a inspection and diagnostic check must be done or Mazda would not pay for the recall. Sounded fishy to me and I'd already saw other One Star Reviews where this dealer Always finds something wrong to push service or repair work. All I want is my recall work done and she said it was "Mazda's Rule" that bogus inspections and diagnostic checks must be done. Well I called Mazda. Guess what MAZDA HAS NO RULE! MAZDA DOESN'T REQUIRE OR PAY FOR INSPECTIONS OR DIAGNOSTIC CHECKS RELATED TO RECALLS. The Mazda customer care representative called the dealer to try and stop this false information but the dealer refused to stop misleading customers. The Mazda customer service representative put me in contact with the Mazda District Manager so he can stop these scammers from further misleading customers. Few hours later I received a call back from the MAZDA district Manager who informed me that he spoke to the dealer and they NOW KNOW they can't FORCE UNNECESSARY SERVICE on customers and lie and say it's a Mazda Rule! I have also been contacted by Mazda USA and they are very concerned about how this dealer operates and assured me they would be following up with this dealer! Busted! I'd never ever use this dealer and will be notifying others on the shadiness of this dealer. Keep driving Do Not Take Your Vehicle to this dealer! More
