Personal Service Makes The Difference While visiting in Michigan, from Alabama, our Chrysler Van broke down. I went to the internet to find the closet dealer to my daughters house. My vehi While visiting in Michigan, from Alabama, our Chrysler Van broke down. I went to the internet to find the closet dealer to my daughters house. My vehicle was not drivable so I got a ride to the dealership. I told them that I thought it could be my transmission. Their employee told me that there transmission person was out and would be out for a long time due to surgery. I asked him if they could run a diagnostic to see exactly what the problem was. He told me no, the same guy reads the diagnostics too. The employee acted as if he could care less if he had business or not. I thanked him and walked off. I tuned around and asked; do you know of any place I can go that can help be. He said try Friendly Ford. I looked up Friendly Chrysler's address and said well I hope their name is indicative of their business. I traveled there and went to the service desk. I was immediately greeted by Russ. A friendly guy who obviously was customer oriented. I explained my problem and told him I would have to get my van towed to the dealership. I advised him that I had extended warranty coverage and he told me he would be happy to work with them to get me back on the road. My van was towed so I returned to talk with Russ. This was on a Monday. I told him that we needed to be traveling back to Alabama by Thursday and he was honest with me. He said if it is the transmission it may not be possible, but he was going to work on getting us home by then. He got his team on it and he called me back the next morning to explain the bad news, total transmission rebuild or new transmission. I gave him the approval and he immediately went to work with the warranty company. It took several days of Russ working with them and the warranty company giving us and him the runaround until Russ said. I'm ordering you a transmission and I'll work it out with the warranty company. I called Russ or he called me daily to update the situation. Every call Russ was kind, understanding, friendly and upbeat about our situation. Not once did he ever make me or my wife feel that we were bothering him by calling. Needless to say with the extent of the work to be done and the time taken by the warranty company we did not make or Thursday deadline so I had to take air transport back home. I left my wife at my daughters so that she could take care of business with the van. Throughout this entire process Russ was on his toes and always could give updates to us about the progress of the repair. When the transmission arrived Russ got the repair team in gear and the repair was completed in one days time. Wow! Personal service makes the difference. During my dealings with Russ at Jim Riehl's Friendly Chrysler Jeep - Warren I felt like my problem was the most important thing that Russ and the repair shop team was working on. In fact as I flew home I was confident that my van would be taken care of and that my wife would have safe and dependable transportation back home. I retired after over 36 years in public service. I know that care and compassion is something that cannot be taught but rather it is something that is instilled in a person from birth. Customer care can, and does make or break any business. Russ is a true asset to his job and to Jim Riehl's FRIENDLY Chrysler. Oh, about my van; It made the almost 700 mile trip home with NO problems, and actually changes out better than it did brand new. Thank you Jim Riehl, Russ, and the entire service team! You are indeed Friendly and made the difference for me and my wife. Charles W. Story Valley, Alabama More
Great experience in the service department I purchased a used jeep at another dealership, for my son going to college. With car issues, i returned it to the dealership that i purchased the car from. After a day they called me and said they didn't have the ability or desire to work on a brand that was not their new car sales brand. I then took my jeep to the service department at Jim Riehl's Jeep Chrysler. In less than a day they called with the issue, how to fix it, and that it would be done in a day. Now my son has his Jeep at college - and as a parent i feel good that it is back to being a dependable vehicle for him. The service, the expertise and the professionalism experienced means i will always take this car back to Jim Riehl. More
