I’ve purchased my Lexus from Jim Hudson almost two years ago. I’ve had great service ever since. Jared took care of me last week for my 20,000 mile check up. With Jim Hudson Lexus I had the worst vehicle purchasing experience I have ever encountered. I purchased a new vehicle but had to wait 2 weeks for the vehicle to arrive. The pre-arrival communication and ne experience I have ever encountered. I purchased a new vehicle but had to wait 2 weeks for the vehicle to arrive. The pre-arrival communication and new vehicle training I received were very professional. I was told I would receive my 2nd vehicle key and my permanent license plate within 45 days. Since that encounter, I have had continued problems with the dealership. A couple of weeks after getting the vehicle, I received a call from a representative in the finance department who had helped with our contract and paperwork. He had made an error in his calculations and submitted incorrect documents. Because of this, he had to resend a new contract for us to e-sign. We were unable to access the digital document because he made another error in typing our information, but after another phone call we were able to sign new documents. After waiting over 6 weeks with no receipt of my permanent plate, I called and emailed our sales representative for a status update but had no reply. After calling the dealership, I was informed that the salesperson was no longer employed. I was then connected with another salesperson and explained my reason for calling. I was told he would include me on an email to another contact who could get more information. I never received this email or a call from this 2nd salesperson. After waiting 48 hours, I called the dealership again, but this 2nd salesperson was not available. I was transferred to the voicemail of a 3rd salesperson and then connected with a 4th salesperson. This 4th salesperson (a supervisor) told me it was too late in the day to talk to his contact at the DMV, but he would call them first thing the following morning and call me with an update. He never called. When I called back that following afternoon, I spoke with the 2nd salesperson again and he was able to get info about the status of my plate. Because of the paperwork problem, the request for new plates had been delayed and I would have to wait another week. This delay was especially frustrating because I could not register my vehicle for parking at my job throughout this entire process. This 2nd salesperson apologized and promised he would send a gift card for dinner (which he never did). I did finally receive my new license plate about 8 weeks after purchasing my vehicle. In addition, I had registered my online account and payments and had to redo that process over again with a new contract because of the financial paperwork error. After getting my plate, I reached out to the 2nd salesperson to let him know and to ask him about my 2nd car key. He didn’t know about the key and said he would order a new one. I mentioned that the first salesperson said he ordered my key, but I never got a response. At this point, it has been almost 12 weeks since I purchased my vehicle and I still only have one car key. I was told by multiple sales representatives that I would receive a call, an email, or contact that never occurred. I have spent hours trying to get information, redo paperwork, and redo payment plans online because of an employee error. No one has ever been rude or disrespectful in my interactions, but many employees on multiple levels have failed to follow through with promises or to do their jobs appropriately. There has been a significant lack of communication from this dealership after encountering a problem. Especially as there were items still pending from the work of the first salesperson, it is frustrating there was never communication that he was leaving, and his duties were not passed off to someone else for follow-up. For a dealership that touts its amazing customer service, I have been highly disappointed with the service I have experienced so far.
