Hello Andrea. My name is Adam Clinkenbeard. I am the Assistant General Manager at Jim Glover CDJRF. We reached out multiple times today to speak with you about the issue you were having. I spoke with my used car department and my service department to get the information about what happened. From what I understand, we sold you a car and the car started having issues within a short time after you purchased. We brought the car back to the dealership and our service department diagnosed that there was an issue with the transmission that didn't come up in the initial inspection. We attempted to repair the transmission, but it was not repairable and needed to be replaced. Once that determination was made, we spoke to you about our options. Rather than hold you to the contract on a vehicle that we were not comfortable selling, we backed out the deal and refunded any money you had spent. We also took the vehicle you purchased to auction because we are not in the business of selling vehicles we have to apologize for. It wasn’t “within a short time” it was as I drove it home from your dealership. had your dealership done their due diligence to inspect cars before selling them this problem would have been avoided. Additionally it took almost 2 months for this issue to be taken care of where I was without transportation til like the last week. There were week long periods of time that I did not hear from anyone at your dealership and if it had not been for me being on top of it I probably would have never heard back. You are now badgering me so much it’s entering the realm of harassment and I’m very displeased with your overall handling of this matter. I think that my review was more than fair given the way This was handled. There is no need to pat yourselves on the back for being decent people and fixing a problem that shouldn’t have even happened in the first place.
