Good and Bad Aspects - Billy Needs a New Job I had two recalls on my VW. When I contacted the dealership, I was told that I had to have my vehicle at the dealership to be serviced, before they could order the part for the second recall. I was told once my vehicle was at the dealership, they would be able to order the part for the second recall and would call me once it arrived. I believe my first recall was completed around August 22. As of October I heard nothing. I was due for an oil change and wanted to combine the service with the recall to avoid multiple visits. I called the dealership and spoke to Billy. Billy was curt and frankly unhelpful. I asked if there was any sort of timeline he could provide so I could know if the visits could be combined. He said he had no idea and that VW provided no information regarding the status. Frustrated and in disbelief, I immediately contacted VW directly, after my phone call with Billy. The VW representative I spoke with was prompt and courteous. She confirmed with Tate at the Kennesaw dealership that I was able to have both the service and recall visit by the next week. I can only assume Billy lied, though I can't really imagine what he can gain from it, unless he was saving the parts for other "preferred" customers. If he hadn't been so rude on the call I would think it was a simple mistake (I did confirm the specific vehicle information on the call). The situation also makes me question whether having both recalls arranged in one visit were impossible as I was told originally, I can't be sure as I didn't document the name of the person I spoke with, but it may have been Billy that told me that too. The actual service visit ran smoothly. Both Rafael, who checked in my car, and Tate who followed up and closed out the servicing were polite and efficient. My only one half complaint about the visit, was my car smelled a bit like a wet dog after. Not sure what that was, but driving with the windows down cleared it by the next day, so no real issue. Overall, I would return with the exception of Billy. I marked "yes" I would recommend this dealership, but I would prefer to list "maybe". One bad apple can really spoil the bunch. It makes me feel as if the dealership is untrustworthy, and you need someone you can trust to work on your car. More

Horrible no loaner for older volkswagen. Took my vehicle in I'am pissed!!. I feel used from what I thought was a reputable car dealership I feel like I took it to a shady backyard mechanic. I am a single parent I'am pissed!!. I feel used from what I thought was a reputable car dealership I feel like I took it to a shady backyard mechanic. I am a single parent with a son in college I took my car in day 1 didn 't get it back until day 4 which cost me a uber ride to work coming & going a total of $160. Secondly the next day after getting my car from the shop my check engine light is back on. All that was done in 4 days was a glorified tune up which didn't fix the problem so why the cost for the turn up.? Now hundreds of dollars later I am back to square one. If you couldn't fix the vehicle then just say that not charge me hundreds of dollars for a tune up.I need someone that can make decisions due their due diligence and call me back. (Back to the loaner) Who made the decision if you have an older volkswagen 2012 you don't get a loaner while your vehicle is being repaired you spending the same Volkswagen money. If it wasn't for the older models Volkswagen sales wouldn't be on the map it's not a Mercedes nor a Porsche. Volkswagen just got popular again because of the older model. Random people at the grocery store or anywhere always ask me how do I like my Volkswagen because they where on the market looking for a new car. If you had a half star that would be warranted. More

Our service this time was a 60,000 mile service and a warranty recall and this was performed in a very quick and efficient manner and they had us back on our way in a short time. We have had DeMarkus Tate as our service advisor many times and ask for him when we return for service because we know he will ensure prompt and great service. Far from an honest experiance I went to Jim Ellis in Kennesaw, GA for an oil change on my 2015 Passat TDI. I was quoted over the phone that the oil change would be $89.99. I schedu I went to Jim Ellis in Kennesaw, GA for an oil change on my 2015 Passat TDI. I was quoted over the phone that the oil change would be $89.99. I scheduled an appointment for service. At the time of drop off I again inquired about the cost just to verify and was told by another employee that it was in fact $89.99. When I picked up my vehicle my bill totaled $99.49 before tax! incase your tracking slow that's an additional $9.50 from the advertised and quoted price. Digging into it the cost of it the oil change was increased by $4.05 and an additional misc. charge of $5.45 was added. When I inquired about these surprises I was informed that the misc. charges were shop costs "like gloves and towels". Well I'm sorry, but in my humble opinion as a consumer those are costs associated with the service and should be included in your upfront price. Or at a minimum when you quote $89.99 you should also add 'plus $5.45 in shop fees'. As for the additional $4.05 my service person had no clue and didn't immediately offer a resolve. When pressed about it she became uncomfortable and some what reluctantly in more of an ask then a statement said she could go speak with her manager. I opted to leave at that point and I'll tell you why.... A few months back I had a DEF injector fail and brought the car to Jim Ellis in Kennesaw, GA. It just so happened it was the same service adviser then that I dealt with for my recent oil change. I was charged over $100 for a diagnostic fee to learn the injector failed (it was obvious when you popped the hood that it failed, covered in white crust, really $100+??) So I paid my bill and scheduled a time to have it replaced later because they didn't have the part on hand. When I picked my car up from the dealership I had a zero balance because the part was under warrantee. When I inquired about having a diagnostic fee for a warranted part she told me there wasn't one, your good to go, have a great day. I produced the $100+ receipt she had charged me for a week prior (wasn't that on her customer profile screen she was staring at?). I requested a refund. I was told no one at the dealership could refund my credit card that she would have to get approval for accounting to cut and mail me a check. It took weeks to get a check with multiple calls from me to check on the progress. So for the $9.50 overcharge I opted not to go through that again. Instead I'll use my time to let everyone who reads these things know how my experiences have been. As a side note - Good year was $5.00 more for the oil change so I opted for the dealership. In retrospect they would have been less expensive; I would not have had to drop my car off and would have been about my day much sooner with more money in my pocket. More
