When paying for a service at Jim Ellis, you know that you are getting quality, and they often have wonderful long term warranties on their service. The staff is honest, friendly, and knowledgable, and the amenities are fantastic (including loaner cars, a great lounge, and free snacks). More

In their role at the dealership, however, they seemed hamstrung by their need to represent policies that came across as ill-informed, incompetent and non-communicative. I had used a non-dealership business to install a trailer hitch, and was seeking help in activating the electrical power through the OEM power line trailer hitch harness that came with the used 2012 Tiguan I purchased a couple of years ago from Jim Ellis VW of Kennesaw. The service representatives were unwilling to speak with the shop that had installed the trailer hitch, to help ascertain what the specific issue may have been. I was told by one of the Jim Ellis representatives, "You are in peril because you used an off brand trailer hitch...now our service manager tells us it will take 5 hours at $139 per hour to trouble shoot the problem the off-brand shop has caused, messing up the wiring." I returned to the shop that installed the hitch, and they rewired what they had done into the taillight system, regrettably bypassing the Tiguan factory installed OEM wiring harness, apparently due to the service representatives' (and service manager's) unwillingness to assist me with activating the OEM harness system within the used car I purchased from you. When I returned to the "off-brand shop" I was told, "Gee, we are asked by Jim Ellis to do their hitch installs all the time." Out of curiosity, I called another VW dealership and was quoted a price for purchasing, installing and wiring the Tiguan, for $1200. The final cost through the "off-brand shop" for purchasing, installing and wiring their Curt hitch and wiring system, was $340. I think the "off-brand shop" did a responsible, professional job. I came away sorely disappointed in the Jim Ellis service shop. More

Excellant service. Service was for oil change/tire rotation. Estimate was 1 hr./20min. due to 2 cars ahead of me. I did not schedule an appointment this service.
