Our car buying journey began in October 2023, when we started test driving different models, including the CX90 PHEV at Jim Ellis. Over the next couple of months as we continued comparison shopping, Noel would check in to see if we were still in the market, without being overbearing. December arrived, and we were finally set on leasing the CX90 PHEV, so we requested quotes from different Mazda dealerships over email/text Noel and his manager, Conley, provided detailed quotes with all fees listed, as we requested. I appreciated their willingness to answer all my questions over email/text, such as pricing for gap insurance and whether their F&I department accepted MSDs. Ultimately, Noel and Conley recognized they were dealing with educated buyers, so they presented a competitive offer for us to move forward. Heads up: the dealership won't take deposits to reserve a vehicle already on the lot. To his credit, Noel was upfront about this when we asked during the online negotiations and mentioned there were options to sign electronically, but we preferred to close the deal at the dealership once we were back in town at the end of the month. The car we had originally negotiated on ended up selling before we made it back to the dealership, but after a little back and forth, Noel and Conley were able to honor the same pricing on an alternative option I appreciated Daryl, the GM, coming by to thank me for my business as I was waiting to wrap up the deal. Shout-out to Mia for a quick onboarding process and Rhyan in F&I for running the numbers on a complicated deal! Compared to my previous purchases it was an easy process. I bought a CX5 Turbo Premium and they were able to get me out of my 2022 CX30 Turbo Premium early. I recently had moved from WA state to GA state to be closer to my Fiance's family as we just introduced our Daughter into the world. This resulted in me having to leave my car behind and search for a new car. I had about 5 cars in mind and really didn't have any idea of what car I wanted out of the 5. I took an entire day to go to dealerships and talk to the sales staff to get a better idea of what car I wanted to purchase. My first stop was Mazda. Rick instantly greeted me at the door and was extremely nice right off the bat. Rick was not hesitant to let me test drive a CX30, and never during my time there did I feel pressured to purchase or provide an answer on if I wanted the car. It was very clear that Rick knew a lot about the car and could answer every question that I had. He was passionate about Mazda's and was just very fun to talk to. Rick instantly made me feel like this was the right car for me. I ended up going to 3 other dealerships that day and my experience was completely different than what I got with Rick. The other sale people at the other dealerships were extremely pushy with me, and made me feel uncomfortable. They also told me very little about the car I was interested in, and what they did tell me was just straight up wrong. I did my research before going so it was very uncomfortable when I called them out on their errors like the cars Horse Power, Torque, interior capabilities, etc. To sum up the above, I had the chance to work with 5-6 sale people at different dealerships (including another Mazda dealership) and Rick stood out from the rest by far. He called me but never pressured me, he asked great questions, was extremely patient with me, and also was very nice/caring to me during a time where I experienced some loss in the family. Rick seems like a great family man, a person who has been in the industry for a while, and a person who knows how to connect with his customers. Even during the awkward moments where we were waiting on paperwork, he was trying to get to know me better and just further proved to me that I made the right decision. I never once felt uncomfortable and I would 100% recommend Rick if you are in the market for a Mazda or just a car in general. Thanks again Rick for everything, and I appreciate the patience and time you had given me. I absolutely love my new Mazda and am so happy I decided on the CX30. More
