Used to use Cartersville Kia since 2014 but started getting bad customer service. When my car engine failed my husband refused to tow it to cartersville after our last visit so we took a chance on Jim getting bad customer service. When my car engine failed my husband refused to tow it to cartersville after our last visit so we took a chance on Jim Ellis. So happy because it was nothing but excellence from the beginning. We ended up having warranty work done but were kept up to date on the status. Then were notified of some issues not covered under warranty and how much they would cost. I was so excited to have my car back like new again. In addition, my dogs are my children (we were not able to have real children) and my car was full of dog hair...when i got my car back I could NOT believe they had gotten almost all the dog hair out! I know thst took FOREVER!!! Ill be back for service but more importantly I will be back when I decide Im ready for a new Kia!!! More
Not happy The problem was not resolved. Instead, I was told that I needed to have the car aligned (which I took to a reputable mechanic and it didn't need it), The problem was not resolved. Instead, I was told that I needed to have the car aligned (which I took to a reputable mechanic and it didn't need it), tires rotated and balanced (which I did) and turn the front rotors (which did not need.) Nothing resolved this problem. I have since checked online and see innumerable complaints about the "notchy" steering on the 2013 Kia Optimas, but Kia apparently refuses to issue a recall. Several local mechanics have told me that Kia is aware of the problem but does nothing. When I brought the car in initially, the service manager told me that they did a download that he hoped would fix the problem, which it helped initially, but he said to bring it back in if it started up again and they would honor my warranty. I was told it was an expensive fix, approximately $5,000 which I certainly cannot afford. Since it obviously will not be fixed by Kia, I will be getting rid of it. By the way, the lady who helped me check in was a love. No problem whatsoever with her. More
