Wasted my time for a possible commission On a Monday I found a car online and a sales representative emailed me. I told him I could come in on Wednesday morning to talk about the car. He asked for my driver's license and other stuff so that he could begin the paperwork. When I got there at 10:30 the first thing he did was ask me what kinds of things I was looking for in a car. Then he left to get the keys for a test drive, and came back to tell me (can you guess?) the car had been sold that morning. I was VERY upset to say the least. I felt they should have held the car for me, OR told me another person was interested in the car and it might already be taken. Instead they wasted my time letting me come in to talk about a car that was sold, with the mistaken belief they could talk me into a car I didn't want. Will NEVER go back. At least with Carmax, they mark the car "unavailable" when a customer is in discussion about the car. More
Just signed the papers on a used 2012 Hyundai Genesis after a lengthy search. These guys are a class act without much of the run around customary from dealers. The salesman though apparently kept working after I had left and contacted me the next day to let me know that my offer would accepted if I was still interested. That was definitely a first for me which was handled with a lot of class; keep in mind that I've bought 20 or so cars in my life so I've seen the good, the bad and ugly care dealers and salesman. I'm happy to report that the deal we negotiated over the phone was the exact one I just signed. They are true to their word. They detailed the car very nicely and I am quite ecstatic with the car and the deal and with the level of respect and consideration they extended to me. I'd definitely consider these guys again for a car purchase! More
My boyfriend and I visited Jim Ellis Hyundai a few months ago to browse their used car section. We did not plan to buy, but the sales man found us a Veloster that was fully loaded with the tech package. Need ago to browse their used car section. Since then, we have had a flat tire and a bad alternator on the car. This is not at all Jim Ellis fault, but you would think that sales people / service employees would be sympathetic about our situation. The alternator on the car actually went bad this morning, 12/3/2013. My boyfriend called Jim Ellis, the man who answered the phone was very friendly. He said to bring it right in and we would be given a loaner, just ask for Peter. Well, my boyfriend drove from North Alpharetta to their Atlanta location and was greeted very poorly, in fact rudely. He asked for Peter who told him he had no idea what he was talking about and could not help him. They were very short with him and would not give him any options. The Hyundai would not start again, so he had to have the car jumped and had to drive all the way back to North Alpharetta, to Rick Case Hyundai, which is 1 mile from our condo. We wanted to bring the car to Jim Ellis for the service due to buying the car there in the first place and thinking that Jim Ellis had exceptional customer service. NOPE. We will not be going back to Jim Ellis. I was even considering purchasing a 2nd Veloster from them, which will not be happening. I will be sticking with my Fiat, which I purchased from the car dealership next door from Jim Ellis, they actually have an exceptional service center. More

We were very pleased with our purchase at this dealer ship. Tim Kettler was great he made this purchase a smooth transition and we did not feel pressured. This had to be the most impressive buying experience I've ever had. I shopped hard for my used Genesis and went to 3 dealers total to find my best deal. The first dealer I went to was in Duluth and sh I've ever had. I shopped hard for my used Genesis and went to 3 dealers total to find my best deal. The first dealer I went to was in Duluth and showed a good price for the color I wanted and said they'd give me the best deal for my trade - but when I got there they played games with me, gave me an insulting value for my trade, and the pricing we agreed to had changed when I got into the finance office. Needless to say I got up and walked out of the Duluth dealer. The second car dealer I went to was closer to home and had my other color preference. When I went into this second dealership I was ignored, I walked by several people and nobody offered to help me, and I even walked around several cars in their showroom and nobody spoke to me. When I finally got a salesman to help me look at the car I wanted he seemed like he felt bothered to test drive it with me and then told me they didn't want to value my car unless I was ready to buy right then. Tired and frustrated I left this second dealer as they didn't deserve my business. I'm 52 and have been buying cars for over 30 years. I don't put up with BS. I searched some more and found the Genesis in both colors I was looking for at Jim Ellis Hyundai. I was contacted by Tim Kettler and he was very friendly and helpful on the phone and I set up an appointment to meet with him. I told him that I was looking at 2 other cars elsewhere but did not tell him of my experiences. I scheduled a test drive and said I was on my lunch break with little time to spare as I was getting tired of dealerships in general. I showed up and Tim had my car up front waiting on me to look at which surprised me as I've never ever had that happen before. After a warm respectful welcome Tim introduced me to another employee (sorry forgot her name) and explained she would get all the information on my trade while I took a test drive to help expedite my time. The test drive was great, there was no pressure and Tim answered all my questions. When we got back Tim was quick to present numbers to me and worked out a acceptable amount for my trade and offered to expedite the transaction and have me out in my new car in under an hour. I wasn't able to stay that day as I had to resolve something with my bank and on my trade in payoff. I called Tim the next day (Saturday) and told him I wanted to finalize the deal but my wife and kids didn't want to spend all day in a car dealership. Tim told me not to worry he'd take care of everything. I got there an hour later and the car was up front and already detailed! Tim not only greeted me at the door, but he also took the time to say hello and shake hands with my wife, my son, and my daughter! The wife and I were shocked! She's never had anybody acknowledge her all the times shes gone with me to buy anything let alone a car, usually all communication is only directed to me. We sat down and I signed some paperwork which the figures were exactly as agreed upon. Tim took me to the finance guy and he was great too. No pressure at all and the numbers were exactly the same - nothing changed and nothing was hidden - everything was professional and kept exactly as agreed and I got a great deal on a warranty. Tim Kettler made me and my family feel like we were a part of the Jim Ellis family. If you're in the market for a car you really need to see Tim Kettler at Jim Ellis Hyundai as he is hands down the finest professional I have ever dealt with in my life. More

This was the smoothest new car purchase I have ever exeprienced. I was actually helping my daughter purchase her first time new car and I must say Kevin Frye was fantastic.
