"We apologize for your disappointment. When we sold the vehicle, we made it clear that it was being sold 'as is' except for safety items. With 118,000 miles on the vehicle, it did not qualify for any type of extended warranty. Typically, vehicles sold as is have problems sooner or later, in this case sooner. That is why the price was as low as it was for the vehicle. We could have fixed all known problems and charged more but selling it as is, it is implied that the responsibility for any needed repairs are the responsibility of the customer. However, it is our policy of full disclosure to make you aware that when purchasing a vehicle 'as is,' items as you describe are not covered by any type of warranty.
