Long, slow, terrible 20 hours ago I scheduled some maintenance for today at Jim Ellis GMC at the mall of GA. I took the day off from work to have this done. I knew th 20 hours ago I scheduled some maintenance for today at Jim Ellis GMC at the mall of GA. I took the day off from work to have this done. I knew that I needed an oil change and a tire rotation, and I was pretty sure that I needed new brakes. I was told that they would be needed this visit or the next time I got my oil changed. From start to finish, I was there 5 hours and 14 minutes. That's ridiculous. I was informed towards the beginning of my visit that my car did, in fact, need a new set of brakes, but to my surprise, my car needed new tires, too. I approved the brakes and went and researched my tires. Turns out I purchased them from Costco in February 2018, and I had put on maybe 20,000 miles. I received little communication, but towards the end I was told it would be 60-90 minutes more, which would eventually lead me to the total of over 5 hours there. After getting my car back, I sent an email to Jim Ellis and the GM of the dealership. Roughly 45 minutes later, I received a call from the service manager. More on this in a minute. I left the dealership to go to Costco to have them help me with the tires. They re-measured the tread life and got a different measurement that did NOT require replacing my tires. I'm not sure if my advisor was just trying to make a sale or not, but Costco didn't see the need to replace the tires. Back to the phone call from the service manager, Chris. He called to speak to me about my email and my experience there. He admitted that the whole visit took roughly an hour longer than it should have. He admitted that more should have been communicated to me about the time. Yes, my advisor offered me transportation somewhere, but I had no idea how long things would take. During my call with Chris, he asked me if there was anything that he could do to make it right. I told him no. I said that because it is not my job to ask for something or to come up with some manner to smooth things over. If the dealership valued me as a customer instead of just the money I bring there, then Chris would have found a way to make it right. He didn't. I won't be back as a result. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere. I know that's where I'll be going. More

Top notch service. My Buick Envision needed just a Oil Change and tire rotation. Making an appointment was easy I was greeted quickly by my Service Advisor Tom Lyden. My Buick Envision needed just a Oil Change and tire rotation. Making an appointment was easy I was greeted quickly by my Service Advisor Tom Lyden. He asked me if there were any issues that I was having with the vehicle. Thankfully there were no issues other than maintenance. The car was ready quicker than anticipated and was even run through the car wash. Considering it's white it can always use a wash. Having refreshments in the waiting area is a nice touch. The best part is they always get your vehicle back to you sooner than they said which makes you happy. The guy who handled my service was professional and courteous and made doing business with Jim Ellis GMC a pleasure. I have noticed that since we have been buying our vehicles from Jim Ellis GMC, we have never had an issue and the staff treats you like family. Thank you!! More
Caused another problem during service I guess they did the expensive service we had done on our Enclave (how do you really know, anyway?) but when they rotated the tires they somehow broke I guess they did the expensive service we had done on our Enclave (how do you really know, anyway?) but when they rotated the tires they somehow broke our pressure sensor on the right front tire. Now it always says that the tire is low even though the pressure is perfect. Now we need another visit to get this fixed - hopefully at no charge. Everyone was very nice, however, and they did keep the appointment and have the car ready when promised, so there is that at least. More
