Satisfied with Used Vehicle Mike Mangan was our salesman and very considerate in helping us purchase a 2013 used GMAC Acadia. The price and mileage of the Acadia were one of the better deals posted online. My husband and I have had a "rough" year and Mike seemed to take our situation in consideration. Mike followed up inquiring about my husband's welfare and informed us to complete the dealer rating. We had come late on a Friday afternoon and were willing to come back, but the woman in financing stayed as she rushed us through the loan process. I was disappointed with the rate of 4.99 % when my high credit rating should have warranted a lower rate. In addition, 2 credit inquiries were added to my credit report (California and TD bank). At that point, I wanted to wait to go home to considerate our options of possibly a trade in or placing money down. I had to inquire from the financial woman multiple times to ask for the best deal. As the woman wanted to go home by 5 pm, she ran her calculator and stated the difference in monthly payment was only $2.00 a month with the 1% lower. I knew that interest on a loan is higher in the first year's payment with less going to principal and the difference in one payment is approximate $45 a month in interest. We had to come back on Monday to return dealer plates and again on Tuesday to pick up key, fix seatbelt, and receive plates and again on Wednesday for odors. As we returned home, underneath the new car smell was dog urine in the rear with dog hair. I called to ask if the car could be cleaned again on our second trip on Tuesday but told I needed a separate appointment. The woman who answered the phone seemed to be inconvenienced by having to accommodate my request of cleaning the urine because it was a lengthy process?. We needed to rearrange our work schedule and make a third trip to the dealership. The vehicle is pre-owned certify and I hope we experience a long life with the Acadia as all our vehicles in the past have lasted us over a decade with 150,000+ miles. More
