We agreed to a price on a Honda and we went to the bank to get the money for the car. When we returned we had found that they did not have the ability to get the car we wanted but only could get a car that to get the money for the car. We were looking for 2010 Honda Odyssey-white. We checked out quite a few dealerships in Maryland. Michelle was wonderful, very courteous, and patient. The Service Department at Jim Coleman Honda is excellent. I did not buy my cars there (99 CRV & 04 Honda Accord). Sales Department needs training on customer service. Service Department is great. I purchased a Used 2001 Accoard 2dr several years back form Jim Coleman Honda and drove it to Charlotte NC right ater purchsing the vehicle, lets say Ive had nothing but problems from it. I was never in an accident in this vehicle and when I went in to trade it in Feb 15 2010, I was told it was in a serious accident. Theres more to the story on there part, years ago when I knew something was wrong with it and spoke up about the cars problems to them. They could of cared less.In fact they were abusive when I complained. I never had the car worked on at Jim Coleman Honda expect 5 times the month I bought it. Then I took it some where else and never looked back. In reality I should have never looked there to buy a car. The Used Car Dept Was very Dishonest. I should have brought them to court back then, But couldnt because I had to take care of two elderly parents and did not have the time or money to invest in a legal battle. More
I was given the old pressure sales pitch: This car won't be here tomorrow. I have someone already looking at it. I was given 2 keys and discovered that one of the keys did not work. Upon taking it back and be here tomorrow. I have someone already looking at it. I was given 2 keys and discovered that one of the keys did not work. Upon taking it back and mentioning the key problem I was told that the dealer only supplies a second key, if one is not available, to vehicles made by Honda. Since this was a Toyota they would not supply a second key. I had to go to the Toyota dealer just down the street to have a second key made. The keys are very expensive because of the computer chip that is part of the security system. But that's not the end of the story. Because the vehicles computer was programed to allow only 2 keys for this car, a new computer had to be ordered and programed to allow an additional key. Fortunately the vehicle was still under the manufactures warranty and the computer was covered. My wife attempted to call the dealership manager several times and was given the run around. This was an unacceptable experience and my wife and I have told everyone who would listen. I know there has been more than one potential customer who has been dissuaded from going to this dealership. The thing that has prompted me to write this is the letter I recently received from the sales person stating that it had been 6 months and he would appreciate any referrals from satisfied customers such as myself. I love the vehicle, but will never go back to that dealership. More
