Unsatisfied customer I brought my 2000 Blazer in to have a part that I supplied to be installed and programmed. I dropped my car off Thursday evening and did not get a call until 3:20pm to let me know my car was finished. I go to pick up my car, pay and go get my car just to find out my part had not been installed. No real explanation on why it would not program, but I feel they didn't really put any effort into trying, due to the fact I saw a note written on the work order for the technician to " don't waste more than an hour trying to program" signed Bill. This dealership does not seem to want to go the extra mile for customers. More
Service Went in for an oil change, tire rotation and multi point inspection. My tire pressure was 27 pounds because I have a nail in my tire. To test that the Went in for an oil change, tire rotation and multi point inspection. My tire pressure was 27 pounds because I have a nail in my tire. To test that they really do the multi point inspection I did not say a word to see if they found it. Well an hour and a half later they come tell me my car is ready, I ask the guy did they find the nail he tells me no they do not check for nails in tires. Well my understanding is a multi point inspection means they check the tires for damage would this not be damage? Not Confident that they truly take the time to inspect the car. This is my 3rd car I have bought from them and all my service has been done at the dealership. This will be the last car I buy from Jim Butler. Kimberly Amrein More

waste of money went to dealership with the hope of finding what is wrong why car would start occasionally. i am a certified master tech for diesel trucks not cars. i went to dealership with the hope of finding what is wrong why car would start occasionally. i am a certified master tech for diesel trucks not cars. i had checked the basics, fuel pressure , codes, etc. explained to dealership that i had already done this. problem was intermittent with no codes. was told that care was out of crank and cam timing (should have code for cam and crank correlation). no codes. said car had multiple issues because service manager used to work on these. car ran fine until a week ago. dealership said they only spent on hour on it. problem is they are paid flat rate and cant make any money on diagnosing vehicle. they look for codes so that they can make quick easy money. overpriced for the service they provide. its pretty bad when a dealership boasts about being certified and can only give this kind of results. don't waste your time. Cannot recommend I'm giving this dealership 2 stars for one reason only- I feel like I paid a fair price for the car. That's a big deal, Which begs the question- why I'm giving this dealership 2 stars for one reason only- I feel like I paid a fair price for the car. That's a big deal, Which begs the question- why would a dealership screw up an otherwise positive experience with under-handed sales and financing practices? Here are the positives: 1- They didn't haggle with me on the price of the car. I got a good deal, no question. 2- It was a no-nonsense transaction- I walked in, said yes to the car, and the ball started rolling. 3- After the purchase, the service department made good on some work that was promised at the time of the sale, and did a very good job. Here are the negatives: 1- I was considering a car at another dealership- my first choice in color. The salesman told me he had online access to any car at any chevy dealership in the area- he told me other car I was considering was no longer available- leading me to believe it had been sold. The next morning I got a call from the competing dealership- asked why I didn't stop by and if I was still interested. I told them what happened, that I was lead to believe the car had been sold. The car, I learned, had not been sold, and was still available. 2- The interest rate offered on the car was awful- 5.77% especially considering my credit is perfect. That didn't matter to me, because i wanted to be done with the transaction, and I had every intention of re-financing the car anyway at a much more competitive rate anyway. I was at that point the finance guy told me I would have to wait until after I made the first 4 payments on the loan before I could refinance. Odd, I thought. But we were almost done and was pretty sure he was trying to mislead me. The next day I read through the contract and there was no restriction or early pay-off penalty whatsoever, as I suspected. Suffice it to say I refinanced the loan at 1.45% within just a few days after the purchase/ I kept the payment the same, but decreased the term of the loan by 2 years and saved over $14,000 in interest charges. 3- I was persuaded to by an after market add-on. I wasn't sure I wanted it, but was assured I could change my mind and get a full refund if I changed my mind. When I read over the paperwork a few days late, sure enough it confirmed what the finance guy told me, so long as the add-on had not been applied. It was at this point that I noticed the finance guy had indicated on the paperwork that the add-on was installed the same day I purchased the car. Underhanded and shady move by the finance guy? Without a doubt. And act of stupidity on my part to trust the finance guy? ABSOLUTELY. Am expensive mistake on my part and I should have known better. I hold myself fully accountable for everything that happened. In my defense, I didn't think I gave them any reason to take advantage of me. They offered what I thought was fair price and I agreed to pay it. It was a simple transaction and in my mind, a win-win for both parties. Apparently not. I guess I will never think like a car dealer nor quite understand why some choose to take advantage of their customers. I hope that I never do. . . More
