We purchased a 2020 Subaru Ascent in late January, 2024 and could not be happier with the car and the way we were treated by the Sales Team. Chandler was top notch. I had traveled to Birmingham for the July 4 holiday when my Jeep would not start on Saturday. Monday morning, July 3, I started making called to try to find someone to look at the Jeep. I called another Je my Jeep would not start on Saturday. Monday morning, July 3, I started making called to try to find someone to look at the Jeep. I called another Jeep dealer but they would not be able to look at it until the following week. When I called Jim Burke service department I received nothing but the best customer service! Their receptionist went above and beyond to find me someone to assist and even when I was accidentally cut off, she called me back. Brent, in service, said that I could bring it in and he would do his best to check it out but they were closing early. I took it to them and not only were they able check it out but they were able to repair it that day. Thank you Brent! Everyone I dealt with was very polite and professional. More
My husband and I bought a Nissan Frontier from Jim Burke Nissan in October 2021. When we purchased, one of the main things we requested was lifetime oil changes. We have taken it back a few times for the oil changes and basically none of the experiences were good. On one of the trips, they left the oil plug loose and about half the oil leaked out. My husband had to tighten it up once he saw what was causing it. He called and told them what had happened and basically their response was “oh well, buy some more oil and when you come back in, we will reimburse you for the oil and give you some gas money for having to come back. Of course when he took the truck back they conventionally didn’t remember saying that. Luckily it was on his text messages where they told him they would do that. They still tried to get out of it but finally reluctantly reimbursed him. Fast forward to today. My husband called yesterday and made an appointment to go in for an oil change. Not one word was said that oil changes which are FREE, we’re now NOT free. When we arrived, we were met by a service employee and he had his trusty little iPad and notebook and proceeded to tell us that “it was required” they do a brake line flush, radiator flush, and something else (at this point we were both furious) which would’ve been over $500 for all of it. If we didn’t agree to those services then our FREE OIL CHANGE would cost $69.95. My husband ask why because we have lifetime oil changes. He said that Nissan had cracked down on them about the cost of oil and they could no longer honor the contract. He made reference to it being stated in our contact that at anytime they have the right to change their mind so to speak and if we didn’t agree to all of those “flushes” (which can be flushed down the toilet) then we wouldn’t get free oil changes any longer. To say that my husband and I are furious would be an understatement. I don’t know if the service guy was lying or if it’s true but I do know this, we will no longer recommend Nissan to anyone. I will post my complaint anywhere I can because I know that when they sell a car I’m sure they’ve added the cost of oil into the price somehow. Anyway, Nissan has lost a customer and I will be vocally outspoken to anyone thinking of purchasing any Nissan vehicle and definitely NOT recommending Jim Burke PERIOD. It was speeding when I wanted it to stop and lunging periodically when driving. I called the service department to discuss. They were concerned and wanted me to get it back to them right away. Due to my work schedule, it would have been 4 days before I could get it to them. The service department came to my work and picked up the car, fixed it and brought it back to me. They didn't want me driving around with the car acting so nutty. They indicated the recall had malfunctioned and repeated the recall procedure followed by a test drive to make sure all was ok. Thanks for the extra effort to make sure my car was corrected. More

Professional from start to finish! I have purchased several cars in the past five years. I purchased a vehicle today for a family member after looking at several dealerships and sever I have purchased several cars in the past five years. I purchased a vehicle today for a family member after looking at several dealerships and several cars... Gayle at Jim Burke Nissan and Luke in Finance are awesome! None of the typical "car dealer tricks" of "What can we do today to get you to buy this car." There ended up being a technical glitch but the dealership was quick to realize it and also make it right. Would certainly recommend Jim Burke Nissan. Much different than these major dealerships owned out of state that are soo concerned about numbers that they can't even really listen to their customers. More
Terrible experience Lied to by multiple salesman. I don't think I have ever been so disappointed. Researched the van that I wanted. Found it online at Jim Burke, sent in a message and was called the following morning by Stephanie. Asked lots of questions about the vehicle and she had Ron the salesman contact me. Negotiated the price since this purchase was for a homeless shelter. I explained we lived two hours away and he said come on in. Spoke with him three times on the way to get a final price. He stated he would move the van up front for us. This was when we were an hour out. We arrived as stated and he pulled a different van older model more miles less amenities up. When I asked him where the van was we had spoken about he said quote " Sorry we sold it in the auction five days ago" I demanded to speak to his boss who he had been working with to get the price right. After another hour( I know we should have left) they told me they had me another van coming from Huntsville would have to wait a few days more miles for more money. After the manager followed us to our truck he said OK we will do the original price but you have to go ahead and buy it even though you haven't seen it or driven it!!! This wasted our entire day and the shelter still does not have the needed vehicle.To say dissatisfied is an understatement. I would give them a zero star if available. More
