We took our vehicle in to have a complete safety inspection before a long family vacation. They found a small oil leak and said that they repaired it with some sealant. On the drive home, we noticed a some smoking. driving home our local mechanic told us that the oil had completely drained out due to a faulty repair. Nissan of Santa Rosa tried to charge us $600 to try and find the leak that they had created while our car was still under warantee. Finally they agreed to fix it. They did not complete the repairs for almost three weeks. The engine is now burning oil and has a grinding sound. Nissan North America has informed us that it is not their problem to deal with independent dealerships and that we should go to small claims court. I know that economic times are tough for car companies, but this is not the way to keep customers. By Honda or Toyota or American, but don't expect for Nissan to take care of you. More
