We had narrowed our search down to a 2012 Kia Sportage, and were starting to call around for pricing and availability. We found the exact car we were looking for at Nissan/Kia Santa Rosa. They gave us a price and financing terms that we couldn't beat anywhere else locally, and Clarence was great to work with - very professional, friendly and knowledgeable. There was no hard sale, just a lot of good information. My husband talked pricing and financing the evening before, and I showed up the following day to make the purchase and the numbers didn't change. Imagine that... Before I drove it off the lot, Clarence went through the features and explained just about everything on the dash and the UVO system. and answered all of my questions. My current vehicle,a 2005 Nissan Murano, was deemed a total loss after an accident. I loved my car and was in was in state of shock! I came to the Kia lot looking for hybrids around closing time on a Sunday night. Preston was so happy to help me and showed me the Optima. I drove that car out of the lot at 10:00. We have been entertaining a purchase for a couple of months. After researching and narrowing our decision between two different makers, our next step was a test drive. We searched the internet for a c months. After researching and narrowing our decision between two different makers, our next step was a test drive. We searched the internet for a comparable vehicle, emailed for a quote on the price (it wasn't listed on their website), and received a response the next morning (and a phone call, which we let go to voice mail). I returned the email and received answers to my questions quickly. The emails appeared personalized rather than "canned" so I felt better about going to the dealership for a test drive. We drove 45 minutes to the dealership, found the cars, had a harder time finding someone to help, without having to drived over to their main lot (this sections of new and used vehicles only had a portable trailer on the lot that said "KIA Sales and Service"). Anyway, we parked, unloaded the family and asked for Don Harris. He came out immediately, we got the introductions out of the way and off we went for a test drive in a car we did not think we'd buy - it was our decision, not Don's because we were curious about the KIA Soul. He took us on a drive that gave us a chance to really know the vehicle - it wasn't simply around the block. Highway, back streets, a parking lot, et cetera. He gave us time so that both me and my husband could really "test drive" the vehicle. Once that was out of the way, we drove the vehicle we came for - the KIA 2012 Forte 5-door SX. Yippee! What a peppy vehicle! 173hp with a 2.4L engine..... same route for the test drive, but perfect! We knew this car would work best for our family, but, too many things on it that we really didn't "need" - luxury items that weren't in the budget. So into negotiations we went, which didn't feel like the typical negotiations. Whether it was because Don was a relaxed person and not pushing for a sale, or that we felt truly comfortable with what we would pay for a car - we buy for the price not what will fit our budget - I don't know, but it worked smoothly. Except, of course, car buying is not a quick process. We negotiated quickly and arrived at an agreeable price and started the paperwork. Most people, including Don, were chatty. Test driving and negotiating is a great time to be relaxed and chatty, but once the paperwork starts, and after being there for 4.5 hours, trust me, the last thing we wanted was chatty people. I didn't need to know about the finance guys' 29 year old daughter who they have to drive over to her house and wake up because she can't get to work on time. But that's what we got. I know we'll recommend Don to anyone we come across searching for a vehicle. I will warn them about how long it takes and to bring food and snacks. There's only so many things I'd let our daughter pick out of the vending machine and the only free drinks were coffee and water, so she bought a diet soda. Anyway, we love our car. We enjoyed the car buying experience with Don Harris. More
I came to Nissan just to look at a truck I had passed by while working. I just wanted to look as I did not expect to get because I was denied an auto loan from redwood credit union. As I explained to him my financial situation he informed me that was his area of speciality. In 10 to 15 min he already had a strong opinion of qualifying me for an auto loan. I told him if the price was right I would take the purchase seriously. After some negotiations I was approved a great price that I was very happy with. He even delt with my insurance company, saving me time and headaches. Doing the contract and warranty work with Jack was great, he was very fast and efficient., leaving me with a lot less paperwork then imagined and a warranty that was unbelievable. Overall my experience here was extremely professional, fast and efficient. I would definatly do business at Nissan again. -Damion More
