Out-of-State Purchase I found Jidd through "TrueCar" and began the purchase process. I worked with Jeff G. in the "out-of-state" used car sales department. First and forem I found Jidd through "TrueCar" and began the purchase process. I worked with Jeff G. in the "out-of-state" used car sales department. First and foremost, this is a "high volume" dealer. This means you will be given attention - just not a great deal more than is necessary. Why do I mention this? Because I was VERY skeptical of the price offered on the care I wanted. I thought it was a little "too good to be true" and I respect the adage which says if it seems that way ... it IS that way. So I did some due diligence and read a LOT of reviews and even called an actual Mercedes Benz dealer (the type of car I was buying) and asked if they were aware of JIDD and if they were legit. My local MB dealer was honest, saying it seemed hard to believe, but in his quick check on all the specifics I gave him on the car - he told me there were NO red flags but to just proceed with caution. I addressed my concerns in writing directly with Jeff G. and his response was thoughtful and complete - which led to my decision to go through with the transaction. Be clear - JIDD has some really awful reviews out there - but we should all be savvy enough to realize that you MUST be skeptical of all reviews (including this one) and do what you need to do to assure everything is in writing - and that you've done your due diligence in assuring you are going to get what you are paying for. With all that said - the MB C300 2017 model I purchased was listed nearly $3,000 below KBB. The car was exactly AS ADVERTISED. Original sale price with all options was nearly $48,000. I got this car just short of 2 years old and at 16,000 miles ... for an incredible price. I had a trade-in which JIDD accepted the value established by a local CarMax dealer. I took photos - but JIDD took that price without debate. I self-financed, and had the car shipped to me (at my cost) - they dropped the new car - took my old car - and the deal was done. NO hassles. NO curveballs. NO drama. I am at the beginning of my relationship with this new car - and could always revise my thinking - but at the moment I highly recommend this dealer (for out-of-state purchases - since I have no direct experience on the lot). I also can fully recommend working with Jeff. G. He did all I asked and needed and was patient in completing this transaction. More
