Jerry’s Auto Group is one of the top Chevrolet and Toyota dealers in MD and was founded in 1957 with the opening of Jerry’s Chevrolet in the Govans neighborhood of northern Baltimore City. Back then the slogan was “5600 York Road at Bellona, best place to become a Chevrolet ownah!” With business expanding, coupled with the growth Baltimore County began experiencing in the 1960s, Jerry’s Chevrolet moved to its current location on Joppa Road in 1971. It’s now accompanied by Jerry’s Collision Center, one of the few Toyota-certified collision centers in the Baltimore area.
Fast forwarding 10 years, Jerry was looking to diversify his auto group. He decided to purchase a Toyota MD franchise in 1981 because he admired Toyota’s full model lineup of cars and trucks, as well as its reputation for reliability. Shortly after, Jerry’s Mitsubishi became the third brand in the auto group in 1983. Jerry’s Toyota outgrew its original one-car showroom at Belair and Moravia in a matter of 3 years, moving to its current location in 1984 where it’s been among the best Toyota dealers in MD ever since.
Since he first entered the automotive industry, Jerry’s primary goal was to leave a positive footprint in the community, and prioritize customer service above everything else. To this day, Jerry’s Toyota in MD is a proud sponsor of local youth programs in northeastern Baltimore County. Jerry’s Toyota sponsors a variety of baseball and softball programs. These sponsorships have helped lower registration fees as well as provide new equipment. In April 2015, Jerry’s Toyota’s donation to The American Heart Association helped pay for CPR kits and education for 24 local schools, including Towson, Parkville, Sparrows Point, and Kenwood High, as well as Calvert Hall and Boys Latin.
In addition to enriching the area’s youth, Jerry’s also sponsors and donates to a variety of community events including the Tots@10:00 program at The Avenue at White Marsh, the Fullerton Fireworks Foundation, the Towson 4th of July Parade, and the Calvert Hall Band Car Show. Every autumn for 12 years running, Jerry’s Auto Group hosts a car show benefitting the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA). Each summer, Jerry’s also hosts a golf tournament benefitting the MDA. Since 2014, we have raised over $100,000 towards the purchase of power wheelchairs and organizing handicap-accessible summer camps.

The first contact that I had with the dealer which was two days prior to purchasing the vehicle was very pleasant. All of the questions that I needed answered was provided without hesitation. Rashid was the salesman who when he gave me the document where I am supposed to review him, he INSISTED I give him the highest score in every category. He was so arrogant about this. He also told me that if it was him, he would do something else with the downpayment money instead of putting it on the car. The service department is horrible and treated me with billigerance and arrogance. This attitude carried on from the service clerk to the service manager. I called to have something looked at that was still under warranty and he kept telling me that i had to pay for it. IT WAS UNDER WARRANTY. I took the car to another Toyota dealership who told me there was a recall on that part and I had it done at no cost under the recall. After the work was done I called Jerrys Toyota service dept and spoke to the service manager regarding this. He said that the other dealership was crooked and performed the warranty work on the sly. With the same consistant arrogance. Jerrys is very close to where I live but I go out of my way to service my car and buy a car at another dealership. This place sucks and they treat women terribly. Someone I know works for the MD states attorney office and said they have hundreds of complaints on this dealership. Dont bother going here they have horrible attitudes, want to argue with you, and lie to the customers. More

Jason Henry and Corey Hightower went the extra distance for me. I was being scammed by another major dealership and i didnt know what to do I called the MVA and the represenative I talked with wasnt helpfu for me. I love my van!!! The people was so nice and friendly, they even gave us time to think it over about buying the van... there was no pressure and they were easy and friendly enough to deal with. My experience at Jerry's Toyota was great! I was looking for a van and was referred to Jason Henry. My service adviser, John, is exceptional. I live approximately 30 miles away and I will take both my vehicles in for service, just to have John take care of us. The customer service he provides is well worth the drive and time. I recommend everyone who has a Toyota to go see John for Service. John is professional and very personable. Making appointments for both my Toyota and Nissan is always so easy. While I'm there, he always keeps me updated and if there are additional recommendations, he always gives me his personal opinion (which is greatly appreciated). More

Since last year Jerry's Toyota customer service gone from quite good to bad, unfortunately. Today it was too much for me to bear, a routine oil change has turned to a big headache. I cannot believe that it t quite good to bad, unfortunately. Today it was too much for me to bear, a routine oil change has turned to a big headache. I cannot believe that it takes 4 hours to get oil change!!! In addition, unauthorized charges for some staff you never asked. So you end up paying, as if not they threaten you to keep your car another three hours to put back your old oil plug in. Last time it took for them two hours and 40 min to change my wife's car oil. My husband and I went to the dealership on the recommendation from our sister because of John Huemmer. Let me tell you, she built him up like he was a god and let me tell you....he delivered. I only hoped that everyone was like him, yet we heard the people who had the salesman sitting next to him complaing about how arrogant that there salesman was to them.
