We just purchased our 4th Hyndia from Jerry’s and as always the service was first class Dayana our sales person and Mike from finance made everything so easy. 0 STARS. Worst experience EVER. My mother contacted Jerry's wanting to purchase a 2020 Palisade and had been working with the salesman throughout the week. I told her to wait until I could get in town Jerry's wanting to purchase a 2020 Palisade and had been working with the salesman throughout the week. I told her to wait until I could get in town on Friday to finalize the transaction. So, I could go with her to ensure she was getting a good deal in addition to making sure she wouldn't be taken advantage of because. Also, to support her because she was having a difficult time trading in my younger brother/her son's truck that had passed away last year. She was also trading in her Ford Explorer. I arrived to find the dealership had given my mother a 2020 Palisade to test drive while taking my brother's truck to check trade-in value. The salesman brought the truck back and we discussed what they would offer for the two trade-ins. The trade-in value on the truck was fair, but the offer on the explorer was a little low. We visited about getting more for the trade, and of course, that was the best they could do. I said ok, I then tried to negotiate the price on the Palisade. He told me it’s the first year the Palisade came out and that they couldn't budge on price. So, I asked him, so basically, there is nothing that can be done anywhere to make this transaction happen? He then told me what he could do is throw in a package that included tint, nitrogen, wheel locks, and unlimited car washes for free. He said its normally around $1400. I told him ok and to work everything up tomorrow and get us the final numbers. My mother received a text from the salesman with the numbers worked up. She showed it to me, and I noticed on there a Hyundai Pro Pack listed for $1,995.00. Not knowing what that was, I then took over texting on my mother's phone and asked him what it was. I will now begin quoting from the text messages. SALESMAN: "Dealer adds (tint, nitrogen, wheel locks, service loaner and unlimited car washes) and market adjustment. I dont agree with it but there nothing I can do, the GM wont let them be sold without it. I tried my best but when the big boss puts his foot down....thats it" ME: "Thats what I figured it was, but you told me you would throw that in at no charge." SALESMAN: "I certain tried to I can get away with it on most cars....but they are being strict on the palisades" ME: "And you said it was ~$1400 and not its ~$2000. This is definitely headed in the wrong direction." SALESMAN: "I understand 1000% They change things up on us on a weekly basis, so it really puts me and other salesman in a hard spot, I would personally wait it out if you can. Like I said I don't believe in market adjustments and so on, this just me, but my hands are tied, and all I can do is advise what is best for you." At this time, I told my mother I wouldn't do the deal, but if she wanted to go ahead. It's her money and I want her to be happy. She told him she would take it. I then took over the text again and will begin quoting. ME: "How much is the GAP….SALESMAN: "Like 400 or something…..” so I told him, "Ok, go ahead and have all the paperwork ready for my mother. The only thing I want is GAP…" We arrive at dealership and the salesman escorted us to his desk. This is where I lost it. On the salesman wall next to where I was sitting, there was a sign that said "Hyundai Pro Pack" $895.00. At this point, I expressed my frustration in no short words, also letting him know what an absolute insult it was that he would set us next to this sign. He again went into market adjustment, my manager….. Then we were then taken to the Finance Manager's office to sign all the paperwork. He then proceeds to tell me GAP is $850 then if you add in financing ~$956 not the ~$400 the salesman told me. I again lose it after being lied to again. He then said, let me talk to my manager to see what we can do. They come back and give us the Hyundai Pro Pack for $1400 instead of the $2000, which we were told was free. If you like being lied to and insulted this is the place to go. More
