Just like all the other dealerships out there. I wanted to have my Jeep looked at, due to some problems I had been experiencing for a couple of months. I made the appointment at Jerry Ulm, & was ha I wanted to have my Jeep looked at, due to some problems I had been experiencing for a couple of months. I made the appointment at Jerry Ulm, & was happy to get an appointment so quickly. I checked off the problems I was having, & wrote some specifics down in the comments sections under each category I had checked. Long story short, I was looking at trading my Jeep in for a new(er) one. Tracy called me Saturday afternoon to let me know the quote to fix my problem - $339 to fix it. I told her, that's fine, go ahead & fix it. When I picked my Jeep up Monday morning, I still wasn't quite sure yet if I was going to be doing a deal with them or not. Tracy took my card information down, but wasn't going to charge it yet, since I might be trading the Jeep in anyway. She said she would check back with me later that day. She called later that afternoon, & I told her I was going to wait, & not trade the Jeep in at this time, so to go ahead & charge my card. I asked her if it was $339 total, & she said she'd get the final invoice to me. I kept checking my email the rest of the day, to see the invoice, but never received it. The following day, I logged into my bank account, & saw a charge for $415 from Jerry Ulm, but still no invoice from them. I tried calling all day Tuesday, & couldn't get ahold of anyone. I left a voicemail on Tracy's phone Wednesday morning, didn't hear anything back, so I called again Wednesday afternoon & finally got ahold of her. I asked why the charge was so much more than the quote that I was originally told on Saturday, & was told that the quote didn't include parts, taxes, shop fees, etc, & was only labor costs. She told me she would get the invoice right over to me, but that she took off some shop fees since it cost more than what I was quoted, & that next time I bring the Jeep in for an oil change or service they would give me a discount. She also said that the original part that they were going to use didn't fit so they had to use a more expensive part. I also asked why they didn't check another issue that I specifically asked about, & wasn't really given a straight-forward answer, more of an answer like "If the problem/sound persists, keep track of it & then bring it back to us again to have it looked at". I already had been keeping track of the problem & it has been happening for a few months, hence me bringing the Jeep in to be looked at/serviced. Now I have to make another appointment, & deal with another possible diagnostic fee/cost. The issue seems pretty obvious, so it makes me think that they really didn't check the Jeep out too well. I finally received the invoice, in the mail, a week later. I liked Tracy, & she was very friendly, however I don't know if the lack of communication was her fault, the shops fault, or whose. Better communication is definitely needed, & I thought it was a little deceitful to quote a price for a service, then charge more & say the quote was only for labor but didn't include any other costs. It just doesn't make sense to me; I've never been to another automotive shop where the quote they give you for a repair is different from the final cost by that much. Overall disappointed in Jerry Ulm. What started off as a seemingly positive experience ended in just another disappointment with another dealership. I'm not sure if my expectations are set too high for these dealerships, or that they are all just the same & provide the same level of service. I guess it's on to another dealership next time. More

Successful software update. 2019 Dodge RAM console video display went out and Russell successfully updated the software and the screen came back to life.
