I talked with the sales representative after finding the vehicle online. In the phone conversations I had with the dealership representatives all went well. Being wheelchair bound I found id difficult to tr vehicle online. In the phone conversations I had with the dealership representatives all went well. Being wheelchair bound I found id difficult to travel to see and test the car so we arranged the trade terms by phone and messages. They were helpful in arranging delivery and the driver was courteous. Delivery was during a driving rainstorm so my wife looked the vehicle over as best she could. When completing the paperwork I got a hint of the first problem. There was only one key fob. The driver told me that the other key would be mailed to me when my check cleared. My first drive in the car was a little concerning. The instruments and display were to dim to see. After driving a few miles the automatic braking system deactivated and posted a warning on the instrument cluster indicating service was needed. Also there was a problem with the headlights not turning off in the automatic setting. I called the sales representative and got word back to take the car to the local dealer. The dealership found that a tracking device had been installed in a way that resulted in a connector being removed. They disconnected the tracking device and reconnected the connector for the light circuit. They had to recalibrate the vehicle settings. They were able restore proper function to lighting system but the automatic braking feature still goes offline after driving a few miles. My next calls to Jerry Hunt resulted in an agreement to reimburse the cost of this service but the message changed with regard to the key fob. I questioned the sales representative about the status of the second key fob hand he began to hedge on whether or not there was a second key fob. Bottom line a month later I have the title to the car but no second key fob. Further complicating the problem is that I will have to buy a new key fob at $400 or so but it is long-term backorder. Further the problem with the front braking assist seems to be related to some damage behind the front bumper that will require additional out of pocket expenses. While I love the looks and utility of the Pacifica for managing my wheelchair and its driving characteristics I am less than pleased with the purchase. The vehicle was not fully functional so there must be some problems with their presale inspection process. I regret not going to the dealership to complete the deal. I would not have bought the vehicle without a spare key for if there were obvious problems. I will probably be facing more than a $1,000 in additional expenses in order to get a key fob and get the braking function restored. More

I will never buy a car from out of state again. My first experience was with Jerry Hunt Supercenter in Lexington, where my mom went to look at a vehicle for me. There were after-market items all ov My first experience was with Jerry Hunt Supercenter in Lexington, where my mom went to look at a vehicle for me. There were after-market items all over the car and the sale pended on them removing and fixing some of the art-market items, such as the front bumper. After making a deal on the vehicle, I was then emailed copies of the transaction and was mailed several papers relating to the sale. When my mom went to pick up the car after they had done their "repairs", we found that they had not replaced the bumper but installed what appeared to be black weather stripping in the gap between the hood of the car and the front bumper instead of replacing the bumper, leaving a ridiculous looking gap filled in with silicone. They refused to replace the bumper like they had agreed to, and so I began looking elsewhere. After a few days, I realized they had the same vehicle at their sister location in Salisbury. My mom went to that dealership and explained the situation. I went with a different vehicle that was all stock, so there wasn't anything to be repaired besides a little chrome paint. After making the deal on the new vehicle, it took them FOUR DAYS to email me a copy of the documents and over a week to send the required paperwork to be notarized, but this time none of the additional paperwork related to the sale was included, only the title transfer paper and power of attorney. After my mom left the dealership in Salisbury to drive my new vehicle to Colorado, she realized that both of the key fob batteries were low and needed to be replaced and the windshield wipers needed to be replaced yesterday, so to speak. Also, they never placed any plastic covering over the temporary tags so the tags were basically shredded after driving for one day. As the dealership knew she was planning on driving the car across the country upon picking it up, you would think that someone would have thought to protect the temporary PAPER tag. Upon trying to register my new car here in Colorado, I realized I had never even received a bill of sale for the vehicle. After requesting the document from the dealership, I was told that an incorrect email and phone number were associated with my sale. The document was forwarded to me quickly although then I was told by the DMV that it takes 45-60 days for them to receive the paperwork for the title. While I should have two weeks left on my temp tag from NC, I had to go and register for an additional temporary tag through the state of CO because I'm begging to be pulled over with my current shredded temp tags. Anyways, long story short; I have had less than pleasurable experiences with both Jerry Hunt Supercenters. One would think that after paying $30,000 cash for a car, the least they could do is change the batteries in the key fobs and maybe check the windshield wipers before allowing someone to drive off of the lot. Overall, there has been a massive lack in attention to detail and a deep rift in the communication department. What should have been an exciting experience was made to be a miserable quest with no end in sight. More
