We bought our car from the Lexington, NC Jerry Hunt dealership, and paid several hundred dollars to have it delivered to our home in Knoxville, TN; with NO return policy. The Jerry Hunt sales represent dealership, and paid several hundred dollars to have it delivered to our home in Knoxville, TN; with NO return policy. The Jerry Hunt sales representative, Ethan Bennett, inspected the vehicle, assured us there were no defects, and sent us a short video of the outside of the vehicle. When the vehicle arrived in Knoxville; the windshield was cracked. The vehicle arrived almost three hours after the time Mr. Bennett told us to expect it, because the couple that drove it from Lexington to Knoxville stopped along the way to have a long visit with friends without notifying anyone of their plans; and apparently no one was able to contact them; so we were forced to wait around for three hours with growing anxiety. When we purchased the car, we informed Mr. Bennett that we would be transferring the license plate and tags from our previous car, and sent Mr. Bennett a photo of the license plate; registered in Knox County. Two weeks after we purchased the car; we contacted Tanya Healy, finance manager for Jerry Hunt, to inquire about the status of the vehicle registration, at the request of our auto insurance agent. Ms. Healy informed us that the registration transfer application had not yet been sent to the TN DMV. When asked why it was taking so long; Ms. Healy curtly replied that the dealership typically sold over 700 vehicles per day, and there were several transactions ahead of ours. We assumed it was understood we were transferring our license plate and tags from our previous vehicle that was totaled in a collision, registered in Knox County, TN, where we reside. However, we just received by mail a new license plate and tags for the vehicle; registered in CLAIBORNE COUNTY ??? More
