I make a appointment to service my wife’s Escape when it needs it. They get it in right away and get it serviced fast. In less than a hour I am out the door. oil change and tire rotation All went fine with the oil change and tire rotation. The body shop worked on a warrantee issue with paint bubbled on the hood accouple weeks back. All went fine with the oil change and tire rotation. The body shop worked on a warrantee issue with paint bubbled on the hood accouple weeks back. A new replacement hood was ordered, painted and installed. The paint job looked great but is a shade lighter than the original color. It was not scuffed and buffed. I think that should have been done. According to the service person and warrantee person, Ford does not blend the paint color from the hood into the fenders and such under the warrantee. it would be done at my cost. This was a Ford problem to begin with not mine. I am frustrated with this policy. I am concerned when the time comes to trade it off, the color difference will make a difference in the trade in moneywise. I have bought Ford Explorers since 1994. I am disappointed that the company does not want their products to be quality looking when warrantee problems are supposedly covering factory defaults. More
Website Recently I received an email to schedule some maintenance on my car, so I went to the website and looked at the price of an oil change and what days i Recently I received an email to schedule some maintenance on my car, so I went to the website and looked at the price of an oil change and what days it was available. I picked a time on Saturday morning which works well since I live in town where the dealership is but work in another city 30 miles away. The price for a synthetic blend oil change was listed as $39.95. The next day I got a call saying that time wasn’t available, but when I scheduled my appointment I was the only appointment showing. So we scheduled for the next Saturday which put me on a tight schedule. Then after they did the job the bill was about $6 higher. I wasn’t paying attention but noticed it when I got home. Too tight a schedule to hassle with going back or calling. Now as for the scheduling and prices, it appears that the service department computer isn’t tied in with the website. Either tie them together so customers don’t have to change an appointment and ensure the website price is what we’ll get or don’t offer online services. More
