I've done a lot of automobile shopping in the past few months and there are people who are really good at their job and some who are very average. Not only was Tara bright, energetic and very informative months and there are people who are really good at their job and some who are very average. Not only was Tara bright, energetic and very informative with any questions I had, she seemed to genuinely care about doing the very best job she could for me. The experience started with online and phone contact with Tara Theiss, I guess that all went well, all she did was confirm what I found online - she wanted me to ask for her when I came to the lot. Which I Tara Theiss, I guess that all went well, all she did was confirm what I found online - she wanted me to ask for her when I came to the lot. Which I did, only to be handed over to Julian, and it went down hill from there. Where to start. I was clear with Tara about what I wanted to see and what I was interested in, none of that information was shared with Julian ahead of time. This means I has to start from scratch with him, only to have him ask (after I told him what I wanted) to be asked what I wanted in a car...which was what I already explained. Great, so I have to repeat myself twice. Then he apparently doesn't have any clue about the inventory on his lot, even when I provide the stock numbers. Then he leaves us standing around for about 15 minutes while he goes wandering the lot to "see what I can find". Meanwhile I walk right up to a car that is the model and trim we want to see...because he still did not pay attention to what I asked for. He finally finds a car to show us, pulls it around to the side of the store and proudly shows us a car, with all of the transportation plastic barriers in place (everything is covered in plastic, and I mean everything. Let's pose a question here, how does a customer look something over when it's covered in plastic film and bags? He then proudly announces the car is still in "travel mode" telling us the back up camera doesn't work, the head unit/entertainment system doesn't work, the safety features are not active and there's almost no gas in the tank but "that's ok, it's fine to test drive". Yeah. No. That was the end of the experience, I told him "no, we're done, we're leaving, have a good afternoon". Then he starts moving quickly, next thing I see is the sales manager standing next to my van as we are pulling out of the parking space asking me why I was leaving and what was wrong. Mr Sales Manager (Trey Rolfson) is unaware of the incompetence of Julian and that he tried to get us to test drive a car in "travel" mode. Nope, we're done, I'm not going to waste my time with the clown show that is apparently Jenkins Mitsubishi. So, Jenkins Mitsubishi, you should know, I was prepared to buy a car Wednesday afternoon May 18, if you had had half a clue about what you were doing. What did I do instead? I drove a 200 mile round trip Friday afternoon May 20 from Lakeland over to RC Hill Mitsubishi in Deland to have a *REAL* sales experience, be treated to a professional lot AND make a purchase. From what I heard over there, at least 3 other buyers were on the lot at the same time as I that made the same drive to buy from THEM and not YOU. Well done Jenkins Mitsubishi, well done indeed. Nice clown show you have there. Oh and Tara, at least she performed her job and got me onto the lot...for Julian to fumble hard. More
