This person came out to speak with me and seemed as he was being bothered and curtly told me to come back when my husband was with me to get a best price. I was very insulted, flabbergasted that I would be disrespected since I was the one writing the check - not my husband, Husband did not want to deal with a dealership that did not value all customers and we purchased exact car at another dealership. Awful experience at Jenkins Hyundai of Jacksonville I wanted to buy Hyundai Elantra SEL and as a Sam’s Club member, I gave my information on Sam’s Club auto buying program and gotten quotes from 3 diffe I wanted to buy Hyundai Elantra SEL and as a Sam’s Club member, I gave my information on Sam’s Club auto buying program and gotten quotes from 3 different local dealers. Multiple people from Jenkins Hyundai – Sales Manager Michelle McHenry, Business Development Manager Ariel Fe and Salesman Keith Powell contacted me over the phone and email. Sales Manager confirmed the price $16133 + tax + tag by email. Also, Sales Manager sent an invitation by email to give $25 visa gift card by visiting and completing the test drive. After I visited there and completed test drive and asked out of the door final price, they increased the price $899 dealer fee which was already included in the quotes and said there are some dealer installed options on the car (actually there were none – please note that wheel lock, floor mat and emergency kit was the dealer installed) so I told them I don’t want any dealer installed options and want the car at same price they had quoted. Finally, they said no one can sell you that car at this price among all local dealers. When I reminded Sales Manager to give $25 visa gift card as she had promised in email then she insulted me by started taking off her wrist watch etc and not to give $25 gift card. I had no other option but leaving the dealership without buying the car. I didn’t have any problem if they had not confirmed the price via email. This was my worst car buying experience at any dealership located in USA. More

Bait and Switch I just had the worst experience I’ve ever had at a car dealer when attempting to purchase a car for my daughter and I’ve purchased 11 new cars in my I just had the worst experience I’ve ever had at a car dealer when attempting to purchase a car for my daughter and I’ve purchased 11 new cars in my lifetime! We looked at a Kona and discussed the price with what I believe was the Mgr as our salesman was new. He gave me an out the door price that I told him I had to think about. We returned 2 days later today and the salesman had a sheet printed up with the out the door price on it that he asked me to sign while he had taken my financing paperwork to the back. The price had reflected a transferred tag when I had told them we needed a new tag so he was going to have the sheet updated and needed to let the Mgr know of the change. Shortly he returned with with another sheet saying there must have been a misunderstanding and the price would have to be $3K+ more than what he had me sign. Needless to say that was unacceptable and I actually could not believe it! So we took back our finance forms and copies of our DLs and walked out. The salesman apologized and my daughter was heartbroken as she was so close to driving away with a new car. Buying a new car is generally not a pleasurable experience, but they stooped to a new low! This was by far the worst experience I’ve ever had trying to by a car, and I would certainly warn anyone from doing business with this dealership! More
Great....until the end. My fiance and I were in this dealership on the evening of 4/25/19 and worked with Glen (Owen?) on turning the fiance's lease in. Ultimately we decided My fiance and I were in this dealership on the evening of 4/25/19 and worked with Glen (Owen?) on turning the fiance's lease in. Ultimately we decided to re-lease something new and turn in the old instead of purchasing it. Glen (we believe his last name was Owen) was the first person to greet us and worked with us throughout the whole process with superb customer service. We also interacted with Jean Tullus and Phil Barber, who were also very nice and worked with us on securing a payment within our budget. We were pleasantly surprised and satisfied with our experience until we sat down with the finance employee. We can't remember his name but I believe his first name was John. He was clearly irritated about something and it exuded from him. He was condescending to say the least and made a number of snide remarks that severely blemished the otherwise stellar experience we had. For example, since we were leasing another vehicle, we asked if we had to make the last remaining payment on the lease we were turning in and his answer was "well you signed a contract for 36 payments, what makes you think you wouldn't have to pay it". Fair enough, no one is disputing that, but we also know that a lot of times if you lease something again they'll pick up those last remaining payments (aka Pull-Ahead). He proceeded to say "Well I guess you should've thought of that when you were negotiating". These are responses that should've never left his mouth. His response should've been "You know, I am not entirely sure but let me go ask a sales manager about how we can help you with that today". That's all he had to say. As we were signing the paperwork we inadvertently missed a line where we were to initial, this clearly irritated him as he went on to say "Yea, you sign where it says signature and you initial where it says initial" in a tone that was dripping with condescension. This guy seriously needs to work on his customer service skills and ideally should be reprimanded harshly by his superiors. However, OVERALL this has the makings to be a great dealership. I would only suggest that we polish up on our customer service skills. It's hard, I get it. I work in customer service so I am well aware. Thanks again to Glen, he's a great salesman and was a great face for Hyundai and I look forward to our next visit. More
