Dennovan Commons is fantastic. I'm a difficult customer. Car buying is not the way I want car buying to be. I want the price of a vehicle, period. Then, I want to know how much the dealership will give me for my trade. I'll do the rest of the math and figure out what payment I want, interest rate, etc. I had given the dealership a couple "tries" to get me into a new vehicle when I really didn't want to buy one from the beginning. It was sort of a "make me an offer I can't refuse" type situation. After a couple failed attempts with the wrong people, Dennovan noticed that I was visibly upset and took me into his office to see what he could do. I chose to purchase a vehicle for 2 reasons: Dennovan and the service department relationships that I had from previous Hyundai ownership. If it weren't for Dennovan , Sharon and Ronnie, I would have kept my 2014 Sonata and been completely happy. Now I have a vehicle that I love to drive just as much as my older vehicle. More

We went to one Hyundai first where the guy said he would offer us a great deal on a Santa Fe, then offered us full price. We then went to Honda where my friend works and got offered a great deal on a CRV, when I asked the first Hyundai dealer if he could come down on price at all, he told us the CRV was WAY smaller than the Santa Fe and to have a great day and it was nice to meet us. Which I thought was extremely rude and that’s what made him lose our sale. From Honda, we went to the Hyundai right next door and walked in right before they closed. Drew helped us with a smile on his face and couldn’t believe what the first guy did. Especially since the two vehicles are NOT so different in size, the difference is a few inches. So he promised us a good deal, and he followed through. The next day, we agreed on the price that I wanted, and we signed the papers. On top of that, through out the entire process Drew did everything he possibly could to make sure we had the best experience possible. I am obsessed with my new car, I ended up with the one I wanted, got an amazing deal, and a wonderful dealer helped make it all possible. Thank you Drew. I am so happy to leave this glowing recommendation about him and the Jenkins Hyundai on Atlantic. Everyone was pleasant every time we were in there and in the end I got the newest model, and everything I could want for my family car. Even down to the color I wanted for everything. Poor Customer Service On August 15th I was caught in a flash flood while driving and my engine seized and needed to be replaced. I had the car towed to the Hyundai dealersh On August 15th I was caught in a flash flood while driving and my engine seized and needed to be replaced. I had the car towed to the Hyundai dealership close to me because I believed they would be the most trustworthy and I would receive the best customer service given that my car was just over a year old and my family has purchases or leased 5 Hyundai’s over the past several years. This assumption very quickly proved to be false. It is now September 28 and I still don’t have a car. Good luck getting a straight answer from anyone you speak to, if you can even get a phone call or email returned. One day I was told that due to the terms of my lease I would require a brand-new engine, several weeks later I was told that no, a re-manufactured engine was fine and would meet the lease terms no problem. Then I was told the re-manufactured engines were readily available and they were ordering it for me that very day because they just got approval from my insurance company and they would be expediting shipping, only to be told the following week by the service guy that he personally ordered the re-manufactured engine a long time ago and was on back order and that was why it wasn’t yet finished. My insurance claims adjuster couldn't even figure out the story and said that he wouldn't recommend this dealership to any of his customers. No matter who you speak to, you will get a completely different story. The only conclusion I can come to is that they are either extremely disorganized and lack communication, or someone is not being truthful and trying to cover up a mistake. Neither option is a good one. The final nail in the coffin was when they refused to provide a loaner car given that it is now going on 6 weeks, my insurance rental benefits have expired, and I am now incurring rental costs that will not be reimbursed. In fact, I was told by the service manager not to worry because my insurance company would cover additional days over my policy terms (I’ve spoken to the insurance company, and no, they don’t do this.) Not only have they lost the confidence and business of a family of 5 Hyundai cars, but they now have a disgruntled customer. Please do not underestimate quality customer service. More
