The service department here is exceptional! Oil changes, tire rotations and inspections. The advisors listen and get you in and out in an appropriate time. Major disappointment at the service department on 5/2/2022. I went in for the second oil change on my 2021 CRV. It was late in the day and I didn't have an appointment but I went in and spoke with 5/2/2022. I went in for the second oil change on my 2021 CRV. It was late in the day and I didn't have an appointment but I went in and spoke with service writer Roger who took care of me on my first visit a few months ago and who I was very pleased with. Knowing that I was going to have my tires rotated I discreetly numbered each tire ahead of time with a black permanent marker. My marks were barely noticeable unless you knew exactly where to look. Roger got me in right away and I waited for the car. The turnaround time was quick. I was in and out in about 45 minutes. After I paid my bill Roger walked me out to my car which the tech had just brought up after washing it and I was to be on my way EXCEPT... As Roger and the tech went back into the building I went around and examined my marks and even though the tire rotation was written up on my invoice and I was billed for it I could tell by my marks that the tires had not been touched. They were all in the exact same position as they were when I arrived at the service dept. I went back inside and immediately told Roger that I needed a refund for the rotation portion of my invoice and explained why. The service tech who worked on my car was standing right next to Roger when I called him out on the fact that the tires weren't touched. The tech started with saying that my rear tires had more wear and he started saying something like he crossed them but didn't go front to back. It was all lies just trying to cover up the fact that he had been caught red-handed! If my tires didn't need a rotation then why did they say they did one and why did I pay for one? So now here's my dilemma, can Jenkins Honda be trusted to work on my car in the future? Was this an isolated incident and the action of only the mechanic or is the service department manager aware that this goes on? And as great of a guy Roger has been with me I have to wonder about what he knows. I will say this. As soon as I made my grievance with Roger he immediately took me to the cashier's office and had the entire amount of my invoice refunded which was more than I asked for. But overall what does this say about the dealership and their service department? At the very least they do a poor job of screening service techs who choose to rip off customers by not performing work they say they did. Here I'm talking about roughly a $20 rip off. I just can't imagine what the amount of rip off this might have been if this service tech was doing a major service job. I truly don't know how I can put my trust in this service department after this experience. It's a shame because I liked the dealership and Roger has treated me well on the two occasions that I've been there. I have serious doubts that I will go back. One last note. I am not a person who only writes negative reviews. Four months ago I wrote a glowing review on google reviews about my first service experience at this dealership which I thought was awesome. I haven't edited that review yet but I probably will soon. More
