After being at the dealer for about 5-6 hours and telling the finance department we would write a check for the balance of the trade in he said you don't have to do that we can pay it off as soon as we get t the finance department we would write a check for the balance of the trade in he said you don't have to do that we can pay it off as soon as we get the payoff. When after several calls to get the paper work and no call back a nice women emailed it in 10 minutes and we realized the paper work was wrong and never agreed on Wyler care or protective contract. so we contacted GE credit and we filled out the cancellation request form but they told us we couldn't get the sales tax back for 207.00 because unfortunately taxes are not cancelable which Ive never heard of such a thing. This has been one nightmare after another and I will never purchase a vehicle from Jeff Wylers again because they hide stuff in your contracts. So if you purchase a car from them make sure you get a copy of your invoice and read it with a fine tooth comb because like they guy below on his review they are scam artists. More
Google has censored my review for some reason and only I can see it so I'll post this here. This is a one star review... but I think Jesse, the sales manager, has earned in what my opinion is a neutral r can see it so I'll post this here. This is a one star review... but I think Jesse, the sales manager, has earned in what my opinion is a neutral rating. In the interest of informing people, I'm keeping it 1-star. I have no negative feelings anymore nor do I have positive feelings about my experience. I visited this dealership earlier today to test drive and hopefully buy a used Chevrolet Equinox. Got an appointment with Hank and he had everything ready at our scheduled time. I was prepared and wanted to pay cash for this car and when Hank brought the numbers out... there were almost $6,000 of add-ons to the car (i.e., window etching, paint protection, 2 warranties, pulse lights, etc.). I told Hank that I wasn't really interested in paying any extra for the stuff and the impression I got was that the car came with those things. So in the middle of Hank talking, I decided that I wasn't willing to spend any time trying to get out of buying all the extra add-ons... and I walked out of the door and left. I was fuming and irate... I waited until I got home to at least give the manager a chance to explain (and for me to cool off). Jesse, the manager, did a very good job of explaining things and said he wished things would've gone differently. Some things I learned out of that conversation: 1. Wyler doesn't advertise the "true" final price of the car. They had already added and bought the pulse lights and wyler certification warranty which added around $2,000 to the purchase price (i.e., I could not decline to purchase). Jesse explained that there is an (*) by the price on their website and when you click it it brings up the following message: "Pricing provided may vary significantly..." blah blah blah. Boy did the pricing vary significantly. It is my opinion that this practice of "hiding" prices like this is unethical and shady. I HATE HATE HATE fine print things. I should've known better. If the car has things that are added and cannot be removed and taken off... I think the price should be updated. I could've bought the car and declined almost $4000 of add-ons (contrary to the impression I got from Hank), but the $2000 of add-ons were already applied to the car and could not be declined (the pulse lights and wyler certification or whatever). If they are already bought and applied to the car, then update the price!!! 2. This relates to (1) above and should apply to buying any car these days from a dealer. I would get an idea of what you want to pay first and ask before you waste your time going to the dealership what the OTD (out the door) price is on the car you found online. That would've saved me the trip and time to the dealership if I would've asked that question. 3. I told Hank that I wanted and was prepared to pay cash. When he brought out the paper that had the $6000 of add-ons and I asked if I could get out of any of those because the price was now out of what I was willing to pay in cash, he said "well we can always finance." I know most people finance and my situation is probably different than most; but man, when I say I want to pay cash: I don't want a payment, I don't want the interest charges, I want the title with no liens. For me, that was insulting to try and push me into financing the vehicle. Again, no hard feelings towards the team at Jeff Wyler Superior. -Hank, I appreciated that you were available at the time we agreed on and had the car ready to go. -Jesse, thank you for the talk and discussion. I appreciate that you were very understanding of the situation and understood my stance and opinion. -Jeff Wyler, you have a very good man in Jesse. Like I said above, I was about to write a 1-star review and blow-up online. I know you own a lot of dealerships in the area and I would've posted this review to all the other dealerships. For now I am content to keep it here only. If you read my review... just learn from me and ask what the OTD price is before you go. That would have saved me time, frustration, anger, and writing this lengthy review to educate hopefully a couple of people who are trying to buy a car these days. More
Purchased a car December 2, 2021; today is February 16, 2022 and I still don't have title papers to get the car in my name along with my tags. I've gone through Honda's and a 30 day temporary tag and now h 2022 and I still don't have title papers to get the car in my name along with my tags. I've gone through Honda's and a 30 day temporary tag and now have no options left to drive the car legally. Not once did the dealership call me to tell me they have a problem nor did anyone ever return a call. They advised me to drive the car illegally until the title work comes. They declined to reimburse me for my trips to the county courthouse and trips to the dealership to get answers. This is a complete disaster and I would advise everyone to purchase a car from a dealership who is more responsible. More
BUYER BEWARE! Absolute crooks! After negotiating an agreed upon price for a new vehicle they slid in an extra $1500 charge hidden as a work order they had me sign Absolute crooks! After negotiating an agreed upon price for a new vehicle they slid in an extra $1500 charge hidden as a work order they had me sign that didn't indicate prices or detail of what the work was. They knew that after being there for hours already with my 6 year old that I was pressed for time. And yes, I could have asked more questions, but I really didn't think they would do something that dirty. And absolutely no remorse on their end. Normally I like to bring my car to the dealer for oil changes and work but not this one. Won't be seeing another dime for me. I can't rate that experience low enough. More
I was looking for a very specific car and was willing to drive 5 ½ hours to get it. The person I spoke with was not helpful with pictures or information and was 0% willing to negotiate. After I told him I was not interested, his response was “No worries. We have plenty of people interested”. More
Just bought a 2022 HR-V here. My Honda Civic couple became too difficult for me to constantly get in & out of (I'm 71) so I decided to get an HR-V (I had a CRV for 18 years so figured a smaller version became too difficult for me to constantly get in & out of (I'm 71) so I decided to get an HR-V (I had a CRV for 18 years so figured a smaller version of it would be perfect). I sought out sales consultant Steve Kaplan since he'd been so knowledgeable & personable last time. He didn't let me down! (Rick the financial guy was cooperative, too). The fact that I even have a 2022 is a miracle! With the problem of lack of semiconductor chips, the automotive world is sluggish. Everyone there is friendly & helpful. Free Starbucks coffee while you wait. Steve held that HR-V for me and went through the basics so I could safely drive that white EX with safety features home. Thank you, Superior! More
