Toyota service dept a pleasant experience, again Brought my 7 year old, 50K mile, Scion xB in for oil & filter, tire rotation - and asked that the brakes be checked for wear. I could get 5 free oi Brought my 7 year old, 50K mile, Scion xB in for oil & filter, tire rotation - and asked that the brakes be checked for wear. I could get 5 free oil changes from a local tire shop in Springfield - but they've lost my business because they habitually use these "free" visits as opportunities to come at the customers in the waiting room with the "clip-board" of repairs needed. I'd rather pay J.W. $40 for my oil changes, without the shenanigans. Asking a shop to "check my brakes for replacement needed" would usually be a worrisome experience at many shops. But the J.W. Toyota serv. writer came back with a chart showing that my brakes have plenty of life remaining - they found a screw in my leaking tire, patched it properly and got me out the door in a very reasonable length of time. What a pleasant experience! (might lower the volume on the waiting room TV ) More

Looked it up at home, it was not expired, and now have to call the warranty company to get the labor and switch cost back. Was told that new computer system did not show extended warranty.
