My husband and I visited the dealer looking for a new commuter car. It took us about three weeks to research and decide on the car we wanted. We decided on a silver 2009 Sonata with "$16,545 plus take an commuter car. It took us about three weeks to research and decide on the car we wanted. We decided on a silver 2009 Sonata with "$16,545 plus take an addt'l $1000 off for military and $500 off for Loyalty" listed on the windshield. After sitting down with Kelly, the salesman, we discussed the price and was told $2000 was Hyundai rebates and the rest was dealer incentive. We asked if we could have the same car and package but in a different color- Kelly told us "yes" it would be no problem. The lot had 62 Sonata's to choose from. We started the paperwork process, and I was return the next day at my lunch hour to sign all the paperwork and choose the color car I wanted. When I showed up the next day- I walked on the lot and selected Willow Gray. The salesman and I returned inside and went to Tony's (the Hyundai sales manager) office... here is where things got ugly! Tony told me he did not have a Sonata on the lot for the price: $16,545. We argued about this for a couple of minutes before I told him I would show him. He walked up to two silver Sonata's and said- "Nope." I pointed to the one I looked at and had test driven. He walked over to it and said, "The price must be a mistake, I can't let you have this car for the price listed." I asked to see his boss and he told me his boss was Jeff Wyler and he has not been around in three to four weeks. Then, Tony said I could have the silver Sonata for the price but no other Sonata for the price. When I asked why, he said, "Because we must have taken possession of the car earlier than the others and that is why we are able to offer the price." I told him,"Then it is worth it for me to call other dealers." He threw up his hands and said, "Do what you want," and walked away. I contacted Voss Hyundai by email when I returned to work- listing the car model, features, and price and told them to contact me only if they could sell me the car I wanted for the price I wanted, in the COLOR I wanted. I got a call ten minutes later! I went to Voss Hyundai after work and completed the paperwork! I am now driving my new Sonata- no thanks to Jeff Wyler Hyundai! More
What a great experience. They took the time to make sure that all the paperwork was ready when we got there. We did all of our shopping online and finalized the deal online. Jeff Wyler made buying a car over the internet so easy. They gave us up-front pricing and had the paperwork ready for us when we showed up to take our Sonata home. I recently bought a New Corolla at Jeff Wyler Springfield through their Internet Department. This was the first time for me buying this way and I can say that from now on this is how I will be buying all my through their Internet Department. Being a woman, I worry about not being taken seriously. Ben made the whole experience positive. We did almost everything over the phone and when I arrived, the exact car I wanted was ready for me to test drive. He even arranged the financing for me! I got a great deal without the headaches.
