I brought my car in for oil change/tire rotation. Bob informed me that there was a recall on my car which I didn't know about. Brought car in to get serviced jaime merlo was very rude and disrespectful. The way he treated me and spoke to me was very unprofessional he should not be working for any type customer service the way he sp and disrespectful. No manners and beyond disrespectful I will never let him help me again . I’m more upset for you guys that you guys have person like him working who clearly doesn’t care about anything . I bought my first car from this dealership back in September of 2021. I was super excited as this was my first NICE car and first car I have ever gotten on my own at a very young age; so I was super p September of 2021. I was super excited as this was my first NICE car and first car I have ever gotten on my own at a very young age; so I was super pumped and excited! Well, 1 year later in October of 2022 my car started to have some issues. Every dashboard light came on and my car was misfiring. I took it to a family member who owns a mechanic shop and they had let me know the issue was serious and I was better off letting Honda fix it .. which turned out to work perfectly because I had warranty. At first I was told I did NOT have warranty so I had to pay the 150$ fee for the diagnostic. Well, I was positive I had warranty so I called again, turns out I DID in fact have it even though they told me I didn’t so I was able to get my car fixed and only ended up having to pay a very small portion of the cost. Now, almost exactly 2 years later I am having the same problem again. I took my car to this dealership yesterday (11/21/24) and dropped it off to be looked at with Jaime Merlo as my representative. This morning I was informed by text that it WAS in fact the same problem I had before. Basically, my head gasket is leaking coolant into the cylinders of my 2018 Honda accord. The same exact problem that Honda fixed back in 2022.. I was informed by text that in order to fix this problem I would have to replace my entire engine. Upon arrival to the dealership when speaking with Jaime Merlo I was met with extreme hostility and felt as if he just wanted to get us out of the way to move on to the next customer. Jaime could not tell me why I needed to replace my engine and even informed us that they DID not lift my car to take a deeper look at the problem. I feel as if my visit was very rushed and not the best service. They weren’t 100% sure if I needed to replace my engine and I say this because the message that was sent to me this morning says and I quote, “the technician BELIEVES the block and cylinder head are too warped to replace the head gasket again”. “Believes” is not an acceptable term to use when we’re talking about a very expensive part being changed in a car im already spending a lot of money on just to have.. I feel that if somebody is going to tell me I need to replace my engine they need to be 120% sure that’s what I need. But, beings they told us they did NOT lift my car to take a deeper look and also telling me they BELIEVE and not they are CERTAIN I would need a new engine is just not acceptable. Beside from that just the pure hostility I was met with from my representative was not okay and made me feel very uncomfortable. I didn’t appreciate the way I was cut off when trying to explain the fact that this is the same problem that was fixed in 2022 so I wasn’t sure why it was happening again. He told me I had 2 options. To replace the engine or trade it in. At this point I feel very discouraged and I’m very very disappointed in the fact that I just bought this car 3 years ago and it’s essentially done for because unfortunately I just do not have the money to replace an engine on a car I bought 3 years ago. Not only that, but I can’t seem to get over the hostility I was met with when I only asked to explain why I needed a new engine and that answer could not be provided. In the future, I would like to see Honda hire more people in their customer service department who are more worried about giving their customers the best experience possible and also choose to go above and beyond to ensure their customer best interest. I don’t feel as if my best interest was in hand I feel as if they are trying to get the most money out of me as possible. We had a great experience at Honda of Florence Ky. Marcus was a great! He was not pushy like some sales people can be. He made us comfortable thru the whole process of purchasing our new car.
