Avoid - no communication, no follow through, poor repair I purchased a Camaro from Jeff Wyler in Canal Winchester, Ohio. The buying experience was good and the salesperson I dealt with was excellent. Aro I purchased a Camaro from Jeff Wyler in Canal Winchester, Ohio. The buying experience was good and the salesperson I dealt with was excellent. Around 1200 miles 2nd gear on the six-speed manual transmission began grinding. It became difficult to put into gear. I tried to have the vehicle repaired at a dealer close to my home and dropped the car off on 9/30. The dealer called to verify their was in fact an issue but they did not have the tools to make the repair. I would need to return to the original dealer. I made an appointment on 10/1 with Wyler. On 10/7 I called to check on the car but no one at the dealership knew who I was. There was no record of me in their system even though they sold me the car and it had been sitting on their lot for almost a week. They rescheduled an appointment and informed me the following day that 2nd gear needed replaced along with the synchronizer. The parts should have been ordered on 10/8 and I was given a timeline of 3-5 days. I called back on the 3rd, 4th and 5th day to check and each time I was told parts were still not available. At some point I was informed the parts were on back order and they did not know how long it would take. Finally on Friday 10/17 I called and was told the parts were in but they were not going to make the repair until the following Monday. On Monday 10/20 I called and was told they guy who was to make the repair was out of town on training. On Tuesday 10/21 I called and was told the guy was putting it together. On Wednesday 10/22 the car was finally complete. At no stage in the repair process was the dealer proactive in communicating what issues or delays they were having. Each time I tried to reach someone in service I had to leave messages or keep calling to find someone to provide me with answers. In total my car was gone for over three weeks. The transmission is still not shifting correctly. In addition, it looks like they dragged tools across my car. I had not driven the car long enough to collect scratches and now there are several. Robert Harden claimed it was for "diagnosis" or "installation" interchangably. He made no attempt to justify this insane charge that is clearly in opposition to ads plastered all over your front window. In fact, he and the receptionist went on to tell me about other even more minor jobs that they charge EVEN MORE for. I guess that was supposed to impress me. It did not. When I said I'd be posting numerous online reviews of this extortion, the response was a smirk and a shrug. Well, here it is. I will never go here again. To add insult to injury, the service area was so dirty and dusty I had to stop and wash the windshield before I could get home. For almost $300 I should at least get a car wash, lol More
