Tried to trust the body shop....shouldn't have My car was involved in an accident with a mattress on 2/25/17. I figured even though my wife and I have had a bad experience with Jeff Wyler in the past when we were in the market for a new car, that maybe their body shop would be different from the sales department. I own a Chevy, and wanted to take it to the Chevy dealership. When I called in on 3/27/17, I spoke with George Dix. We spoke on two separate times before scheduling my appointment, as he stated he couldn't schedule it until the insurance adjuster looked at the vehicle. The appointment was made for a 8:00AM drop off time on 3/6/17. George was (or at least seemed) fairly rude on the phone the two times we spoke. I dropped the car off that Sunday night (3/5/17) so they would have it that very next morning. Through out the process of my car being at Jeff Wyler, I never received any communication from George unless I sent an email or called, and when he would respond back, he always came off as being rude. He doesn't seem very friendly. After Jeff Wyler did their additional damage assessment, it turned out that the car needed some additional repairs. The insurance company originally said $1,700, and then it went up to right around $3,000. I drove to Wyler on a few different nights, just to see my car sitting there, not even looking like it had been worked on. We were now approaching 3 weeks that they have had my car. 3 weeks!!!!!! For $3,000 worth of repairs? It didn't make sense to me. I contacted the insurance agent, and I was advised that sometimes vehicles that aren't huge money makers sit there until they feel like working on them. I emailed George on two occasions, and received no response from him on why it was taking so long to mostly do repair work. George emailed me back and told me it would be 3/19/17 when it would be finished, that date later changed to 3/23/17 and then 3/24/17 due to needing to detail the vehicle. I wrote back to George and explained to him that I keep my car very clean, and that with the amount of time they've had the car to do these repairs, and now having to keep it for another day due to it needing detailed, that it had better be spotless inside and out. (Again, no response back from George). I received a call on that Friday 3/24/17 around 2:00PM that that car was ready. I explained to him that I wanted to wait for my wife to get home from work so we could deal with the rental car, and he became rude saying I needed to pick it up by 5:00PM, even though they didn't close until 6:00PM. My wife got home, and we went to pick up the vehicle. Upon first sites, the car looked really good. (Repairs, detail). While my wife was loading up our daughter into the car, I was taking a look around the car and noticed so scratches on the hood, and passenger side of the car that weren't fixed. (I assumed that they were not put on the estimate....I was wrong...at which we found out on 3/29/17 that they were actually put on the estimate). I had to clean my windows before we left Jeff Wyler due to them being completely filthy. Once I got home, I inspected the car further. The inside of the car in a lot of area's was covered in dust from when they were sanding down area's that were being repainted. My weather tech mats were completely covered in dust as well, along with the center console, dash, and my seats. The car was not vacuumed either, and like I stated before, the windows were a mess. I spent over an hour of my own time cleaning up their mess just so I wouldn't feel disgusted driving in it. (To the repairs). I noticed some over spray of some sort on the passenger side front and rear door. I'm not sure what it is (maybe clear coat), but it will not come off. My hood had swirl marks in it from I'm guessing buffing it or waxing it, the hood was not properly aligned, and going back to the scratches on the roof and side of car, those repairs were in the estimate, and they chose not to fix them. My key fob had purple paint all over it (not even the color of my car). I was/am not very happy about this. I attempted to call Jeff Wyler several times. Leaving voicemails for George with no return calls, sending emails with nothing in return. Jeff Wyler even stopped answering the phones when they saw my number pop up. It took me having to call from a different phone for them to answer it, and of course, they answered it on the first ring with the other number (like they always have in the past). I assumed maybe they were busy when I tried calling from my number. I had to call back about a couple of minutes later (on my number), and again, no answer. Immediately hung up and called from my wife's phone, and they picked up on the first ring. On 3/29/17, the insurance adjuster came out to inspect the concerns I had brought to his attention, and that's when he told me that the damage on the roof was put into the estimate. He looked at the estimate that Jeff Wyler did, and it was in theirs as well, for whatever reason, it just didn't get done. At this point, I have now been waiting on George to call or email me back for 2 days now. (He is the manager in charge while his boss is out). I sent him an email on 3/29/17 stating that the insurance adjuster came out and would be contacting Jim (George's manager) regarding these issue's, and I also stated that I would be doing the same thing. Guess what? That's the fastest that he's ever got back into touch with me. The car was dropped off on 4/6/17 to "address" these issue. I picked it up today. Some of the issues are okay, some aren't. George was outside trying to tell me how clean the car was. It had water spots all over it, the wheel or tires weren't cleaned, the floors weren't swept, weather techs mats were still dirty. I'm done with this place. I thought I could trust the body shop after having a bad experience with the sales department, but apparently you all are the same. Jeff Wyler isn't even going to do anything about it other than apologize on here to make them look good. Last year when Gary and Heather ruined my credit by continuing to raise my amount and send it to every bank in Columbus, I contacted the BBB and they hopped right on it, but Wyler covered it up, like they always do. Staff is always kind and courteous. Purchased my previous Chevy products from here (before Jeff Wyler purchased the dealership) and always had a great experience. With the updated service and sales facilities, it is even a better experience. Kudos to the staff ..... More
