After researching online, I purchased a 2025 Chevy Blazer EV from Jeff Schmitt North, located approximately 100 miles from my home. Since I knew exactly what vehicle I wanted and had a bank-issued blank chec EV from Jeff Schmitt North, located approximately 100 miles from my home. Since I knew exactly what vehicle I wanted and had a bank-issued blank check, the purchase process itself was smooth and straightforward. During the sales process, I specifically asked about known issues with the Blazer EV—particularly system-wide software updates—and whether these had been resolved during the certification process. I was assured by the salesperson that the vehicle had passed the 172-point inspection, that all issues had been addressed, and that all software updates were current. However, during the drive home, multiple issues immediately became apparent. These included intermittent turn signal errors, a loose passenger-side license plate light, a clunking noise while turning, inability to charge at Tesla charging stations, a 302 charging error, and complete failure of the OnStar system. I attempted to contact the salesperson twice via email with no response. I then called and was informed that the salesperson was off work; no follow-up or return contact was ever made. I subsequently attempted to reach Jay Schmitt, the company president, and again received no response. Due to the lack of communication and support, I took the vehicle to another Chevrolet dealership. There, full vehicle-wide programming was required, the Lighting Control Module was replaced, and both the Telematics Module and license plate light assembly are currently on order. These findings clearly demonstrate that the claimed 172-point inspection was either negligently performed or falsely documented, despite being signed off by both a technician and a service manager. Additionally, the assurances provided by the salesperson regarding software updates were inaccurate, let me re-phrase, a complete LIE! From leadership down, the organization failed to provide transparency, accountability, or even basic communication. This experience reflects a serious lack of ethical standards and customer care, raising significant concerns about how this dealership conducts business. More
Great experience all around! TJ went above what I expected from a salesman. My new car was clean and ready to go when I got to the dealership. TJ went above what I expected from a salesman. My new car was clean and ready to go when I got to the dealership. More
We brought our 2017 Equinox in due to a check engine light issue. We have an extended warranty that we purchased with the vehicle in 2020, but were not sure if the issue would be covered. We were a bit light issue. We have an extended warranty that we purchased with the vehicle in 2020, but were not sure if the issue would be covered. We were a bit apprehensive about the cost of the repairs, especially at a dealership, but our service advisor, Ryan Sanders, assured us he would “go to bat for us” when he contacted the warranty claims department. It was a huge relief when we heard from Ryan the very next day that the repairs would be covered and completed that same day! He was even able to convince the warranty company to cover an additional part that had not yet failed, but the possibility of it failing soon was highly likely. That’s the kind of honesty and integrity you hope you’re going to get when you hand over the keys for repairs on your vehicle, but you never know who you can trust. After this experience, we are even more confident that we can trust the service team at Jeff Schmitt Chevrolet in Fairborn and it is highly likely that we will keep coming back. We appreciate you! -Rhonda S. More
Nothing horrible but not as knowledgeable in area of sales as other Chevy dealership I have dealt with. After researching the vehicle on my own, I felt I knew more than the salesperson at that point. He sales as other Chevy dealership I have dealt with. After researching the vehicle on my own, I felt I knew more than the salesperson at that point. He was friendly enough though, just not same experience I have had at other Chevy dealership. Schmitt dealership was not as conscientious about my time and waiting was far too long. Financial person was friendly and more knowledgeable. Other dealership was very thorough explaining and helping me through all setups. Not sure the salesperson at Schmitt knew how to and showed me very little. More
They were supposed to rotate my tires and fix the slow leak in my left front tire. They informed me my tire was good, when in fact, it still has a slow leak, and they did not rotate the tires because the leak in my left front tire.
