One of the things that was getting to me during the buying experience was the constant attempt to sell us a corrosive coating. I waited through the pitch script, stated my path that this was not an interest, and the logic why. Over and over again, we'd get an update or just checking in, and "we can knock X amount off of the coating" The corrosive service sounds very appealing, it sounds as if it would do a great job, and I'm sure that everyone who's taken the offer is satisfied with the results. However when a customer states their path, the monthly payment cannot be over a certain amount AND you had to work with a counter to that point... stop. I shouldn't have to say it over 8 times over the course. If I could have swung it, I would have. I really liked our sales folks and I didn't want to be hard. The other issue was the "detail" that we waited on at length. We sat in the waiting room (which was comfortable and clean) for quite a while waiting on the detail. When we received the vehicle, I gave an in cab inspection, and noted the same things I had pointed out in the test drive were still present. The easiest to spot was the dried ketchup that was on the dash was still present, the "I pooped today" button and "hug a nurse" button still tacked to the visor. It still smelled like a stale ashtray. We had been there for a long time, and I left saying nothing. It took most of the shine off the vehicle, and I pulled out of the lot not feeling the glow of a new purchase but the embitterment of knowing I had to take care of something myself that should have been done right the first time. I'm not sure what details where provided in the detailing service, but the two items listed were low hanging fruit for any cleaning, even a poor one. When I hit the inside with some glass cleaner, the paper towels pulled off a ton of yellow from smoke. This wasn't a special method, I squirted windex and a paper towel. That tells me that the glass wasn't even cleaned. Food bits in the back (hershey kisses wrappers in the stow n go buckets, black shoe marks scuffed on the white panels that easily wiped off. I could actually go on, but I've made my point. I will note that someone had the presence of mind to change the cabin air filter presumably to reduce the stale smoke smell. Shame on me for not saying anything while I was there. I'll probably end up dropping a couple of C notes having the inside cleaned and gassed to get rid of the odor later after I battery back up our savings. Over all we had a good experience. Our sales folks were decent, attentive, and knowledgeable. I've actually recommended this dealership to a few friends and co-workers, although I did temper it with a resounding "but expect to go to a car detailing center if you buy used" More

My service writer, GARY ROSS, has taken care of my and my car for over 150,000 miles and counting - thanks to his recommendations and the great work of technicians like RICK. NOTE TO NEW CAR SALES MANAGEMENT: I spent a little over two hours at the dealership during this visit. I spent time in the new car showroom, paying special attention to a red Pacifica: sitting in it, exploring it, and finally asking a young man for a Pacifica brochure, which he graciously provided - without ever introducing himself or making any attempt to engage or qualify me as a buyer. Later, I checked out every van along the south end of the new car lot and again, no one ever approached me to determine my new car needs or interest. Amazing! And sad!! Thank God the service department doesn't operate this way. More
