Very positive car buying experience My wife and I arrived at Jay Wolfe Toyota at 5:00 p.m. on a Friday evening to test drive a 2014 Toyota Sienna XLE. This visit would prove to be My wife and I arrived at Jay Wolfe Toyota at 5:00 p.m. on a Friday evening to test drive a 2014 Toyota Sienna XLE. This visit would prove to be the end of our month-long search for a new vehicle. Our search began when our 2002 Chrysler Town and Country would finally give no more. After starting with a list of about 20 different SUVs and minivans, we focused on the Sienna. Our research then focused on Toyota dealers in town. Jay Wolfe had the vehicle we wanted at about $2,000.00 less than similar vehicles at other dealers. I also consulted my brother, who purchased a new Toyota Highlander from Jay Wolfe in 2011. He spoke very highly of his buying experience at Jay Wolfe. So, I set up a test drive with salesman August Recker. We arrived and were greeted warmly by all members of the Jay Wolfe staff. August had the vehicle we wanted to drive ready to go. He gave us a tour of it and then we took it for a spin. On the test drive, August was able to answer any and all questions we had about the vehicle. Back at the dealership, we went past the concierge where Amber offered us all manner of refreshments. We had a couple soft drinks and sat down with August to talk about the Sienna and about our Chrysler trade in. During this discussion, I felt at all times that we were being dealt with fairly. I had compared prices at about six different Toyota dealers. This research helped a great deal when we got to the price for the Sienna. It was about what I expected. The only real area of negotiation would be about the trade in. The Chrysler had 137,200 miles on it, we revealed everything we knew about its problems (a few of them pretty significant) and waited to see what they would offer. They offered far less than what we were hoping to get. This is a reflection of the vehicle and not of Jay Wolfe. The very low figure they offered was, unfortunately for us, all that the heap was worth. We asked for an additional $150 to which they agreed. We now were buying a new vehicle! At this point, we were pretty confidant we would give high marks on a review of this dealer. But, we then became further convinced that Jay Wolfe Toyota wants people to leave with a positive feeling about the dealership whether they buy a vehicle or not. We were talking with Tim about warranties when August and the sales manager Steve entered. Apologizing profusely, they told us that an issue had arisen. For us, this issue threatened to scuttle the whole deal. For about 15 minutes my wife and I contemplated what to do. They offered some generous incentives to resolve the issue, but the sick feeling we had was that the elation we felt just a few minutes before was about to be dashed. The sales manager returned and explained the issue. Fortunately, he also had a solution. Problem solved. No harm, no foul, right? Now that we were back on track and that, essentially, no mistake had been made, Tim still honored the incentives he had offered before. This was a very pleasant surprise to us. We then happily completed the transactions and drove away in our brand new minivan. In terms of customer service, we give everyone at Jay Wolfe high marks. Amber the concierge, August the salesman, Tim the warranty guy, sales manager Steve the "baseball fan" from Texas and everyone else we encountered. Everyone was as friendly as could be and made us feel right at home. On the business end, we were treated fairly. The price was right in line with the research we had done. We didn't get a steal, but we didn't get shafted. We got a fair deal. With the potential game changer episode, we were treated more than fairly. They ultimately made no mistake, but still honored the incentives they offered as if they had made a mistake. We give high marks all around to Jay Wolfe Toyota of West County. More

How in the world would I know that until I've driven the car for a few months? I would only know about Quality of Work if the car is problem-free for the entire time between service dates! The cost for servicing a Prius, however, is horrendous and because of that I would NEVER buy another Prius or any other hybrid. Because of the excessive service cost, I am sorry I ever bought a Prius. Why you had to add that entire food counter which -- let's face it, nothing is free -- only adds to service costs, was unnecessary and excessive. What is it about Americans that they can't sit for a few hours without food or drink? Instead of that food-service counter, I would have appreciated a separate "quiet room" where there would be NO TV noise. I've talked to a few of your other 'waiting' customers and most have said they wished the TV was OFF. So... I am not alone in this thinking. This REVIEW is waaaaaay too long and WHY do I have to check off Terms of Use? For YOUR benefit? Forget it. The ONLY reason I took the time to click on your outrageous Terms of Use TIME WASTER is because I wanted to make sure Rob Meyer got an excellent rating. THIS IS THE VERY LAST TIME I AM GOING TO RESPOND TO YOUR TIME=WASTING "REVIEW." IF YOU CAN'T EVEN TRUST YOUR HR DEPARTMENT TO HIRE THE RIGHT PEOPLE SO YOU HAVE CONFIDENCE IN THEM, THEN YOU SHOULD FIRE YOUR HR PERSON(S).
