You only have it for the first year of leasing. They say it's because you have the option to refuse, but you are probably going to get gap insurance because it's kind of necessary and is the safest thing to do... BUT THIS SHOULD BE SAID UP FRONT. If you think you are paying 170 after tax / month, it's going to be more like $210-$230 and they're not going to tell you that until you're ready to sign and have been sitting there for four hours. that's just how it goes... however, $210/month for a fully covered 2017 corolla is still a good deal. Rotation of tires, fuid and brake check was too costly so I opted out of those items and just got the oil change and Service person was very friendly.
