Know your customer! After nearly 70 minutes of waiting for my SCHEDULED routine tire balance and oil change, my service technician approached me and provided nearly $1000 After nearly 70 minutes of waiting for my SCHEDULED routine tire balance and oil change, my service technician approached me and provided nearly $1000 dollars of work they wanted to perform. Considering my vehicle only has 31k mileage and I bring it in every 3 months, not to mention this completely contradicted the minor “suggested” maintenance work he noted a hour prior (that amounted to less $400), i was not pleased. When I questioned the drastic difference, he seemed frustrated with me calling out than my car had over 90k miles and my Honda desperately needed a new (metal) timing belt. 1. I own an SUV... bought there just over a year ago. 2. It only has 31k miles ... not 90k. 3. I’ve NEVER owned a Honda. So why am I getting a quote (and what I felt was a lecture) for a different vehicle? Since he was obviously agitated, I tried to interject that my SUV only had 31k and the look I got made me feel like the stereotypical dumb woman who doesn’t know about her vehicle. At this point I’m frustrated and disappointed but trying to remain professional so I asked “my 2017 Highlander?” Silence ... until a women in the waiting room said “I think you’re talking about MY Honda!” Eventually I got an apology, but obviously have lost confidence in personalized service and attention to detail. Upon arrival and told of “recommended maintenance” I asked for an itemized list and pricing. Upon return of my vehicle I specifically asked if that information was provided and was told it was on my dashboard. Unfortunately- it was not. I drove off the lot disappointed. To make matters worse, I received a phone call last night that I assume was to be a survey about my experience but the representative on the phone did not have my first name correct, nor could they tell me my last name or any other data to confirm who they were and proceeded to hang up on me when I said “that is my vehicle, but not my name”. Considering I purchase a new vehicle every 2.5-3 years, this certainly makes me question my loyalties since it is obvious I am merely a purchase... not even a name! More

Value added or unnecessary? I went in for my free oil change. Of course the inspection finds additional work to be done. I have the choice to allow the work or decline it. Proposal was for $350 worth of parts & $250 of labor. Really? I’m in favor of maintaining my vehicle in good condition & preventing wear or breakdowns. But cleaning bacteria out of my air supply? Nice idea but I’ve never heard of cars spreading disease to their drivers, ever. Dirty brakes? Sounds potentially hazardous but I’ve known hundreds of people to drive vehicles for decades without dirty brake issues. Can we get better proposals for truly value-added work? And don’t act surprised when I decline $150 of work that I wasn’t planning for. The last concern: I dropped off my car at 9:40, saying I didn’t mind when it was complete. I mistakenly said this as I thought we were only dealing with 2-3 hours. At 1:00 I finally got a call to ask about the additional items found. After agreeing to some, my car was finally done at 3:30. Six hours for an oil change & change of air filters? Wow. I wish I could spend all day at my job doing an hour’s worth of work. More

I normally change my own oil but since we have a service agreement with our c Amenities were fine but I was there for 1 1/2 hours, even with an appt. I normally change my own oil but since we have a service agreement with our car purchase I am using your services. When the contract is up I might consider just having Jay Wolfe do it if convenient, but I would not spend this much time again. I can go in and out of my garage to do it and spend maybe 1/2 hour, and don't have to drive. So unless time at dealer improves I would not use after contract up. Personnel friendly and enjoy the coffee and oatmeal. More
