Just a Sunday Drive! We were out on a Sunday with the intention of checking out the Acura MDX and thinking the dealership was closed. We had absolutely no intention of even talking to a salesman that day, as we are from Missouri and Sundays are a "look only" day for us. We had a 2007 MDX and knew exactly what year, color and interior we wanted with our next one. Ed very calmly strolled us over to the marvelous "Pre-owned" showroom and there was that exact MDX. Sean O'Leary joined us to figure out a fair price for our vehicle without even seeing it. Since we weren't looking to trade that day, our MDX was at home. We were impressed with the professionalism, trust and how he made us feel about our vehicle, with a flair of Irish humor. We went to lunch to ponder this unexpected purchase, as we are not the impulsive buyer type. Just when we thought it couldn't get any better, Sam Lee stepped in the picture and changed our mind about using our local credit union. He went to bat for us and blew away any competition by getting the most incredible interest rate; and we didn't have do do any of the footwork. When we picked up the 2015 MDX, Ed went above and beyond to make us feel like we had just bought a brand new vehicle instead of a "gently used" one. A relaxed environment where you are treated well. My wife and I entered the dealership on Saturday 18 July 2015 with the intention of looking at the 2015 Acura RDX AWD. The Spring Sales Event offered My wife and I entered the dealership on Saturday 18 July 2015 with the intention of looking at the 2015 Acura RDX AWD. The Spring Sales Event offered the vehicle at a great lease price with $0 Down, $0 Security Deposit and $0 First Payment. I guess to back up a bit, I have leased two Acura vehicles in the past (2004 MDX and 2005 TSX) and they were great automobiles. I tend to try different automobiles, looking for the right fit at any given time. Well, back to this past Saturday. We entered the showroom and were greeted by Ed Plisner, also know as Atticus Finch (we both had on glasses that mimicked those worn by Gregory Peck in To Kill a Mockingbird). Ed has a very welcoming demeanor and made us feel like our positive experience at the dealership was his primary responsibility. He listened to our needs and wants and started down the path to finding a vehicle to match our desires. His conversation style was very friendly, yet professional. Before we headed out on a test drive, Sam Sammur, the general manager came over to introduce himself. Sam and I both realized we had met before. Sam was the general manager at the Hendrick Volvo dealership where my wife and I had leased our 2013 Volvo XC60. Sam was instrumental in getting that lease worked out where we were all satisfied. My wife loved the Volvo; however, Hendrick sold the dealership and I choose not to elaborate on the new owners. Suffice it to say, disappointed. On with the story. Sam encouraged us to take a test drive and let him have a few minutes to evaluate our "trade-in". My wife and I were impressed with the RDX and decided that the vehicle (with the Technology Package) was what we wanted. The selection was such that we were able to get the exterior color we wanted (Graphite Luster Metallic, with Parchment Leather interior). Ed did a great job giving an overview of the car's features and was able to give more in-depth explanations when requested. Again, Ed was there to facilitate the experience. Never once was there ever any pressure to try to get us to rush any decision. After driving the RDX, my wife and I decided this was the vehicle we wanted to lease. It handled well, had a quiet ride and the fit and finishes were great. Sam had me get the payoff for the Volvo from my online account and asked what terms we desired as far as length of contract and mileage allowance. He and Ed went to work to put together the deal. There was no pressure when they came back with what they were willing to do. The offer was better than my expectation. It was evident that they wanted to earn our business and get us in the vehicle we wanted. Another familiar face from the old Hendrick Volvo dealership was Shannon Wood, the new Finance Manager at Hendrick Acura. My wife and I worked with her when we leased the XC60 and she was just as good assisting us with this transaction. Again, Shannon presented options, but no pressure. When everything was said and done, the numbers matched up with the offer we were presented by Sam and Ed. Actually, that is not true. Because of an outstanding FICO score, I qualified for a lower lease factor, thus the monthly payment was reduced a few dollars. Without a doubt; Sam, Ed and Shannon were a pleasure to deal with. They made you feel that you are a priority and that they wanted to facilitate a transaction that made sense for you the customer and the dealership. It has only been a couple of days; however, my wife loves the way the RDX drives and how easy it is to maneuver in the parking lot. Thanks to Sam, Ed and Shannon. By the way, others in the dealership when passing by were very pleasant and offered a "hello"! I will definitely be back to Hendrick Acura in the future and would highly recommend the dealership to anyone looking specifically for an Acura or a luxury car in general. More
Just purchased my third MDX. I came in to have service work and bought a new Acura. This is my third MDX. Mr Black is the sales associate I have worked with on two out of three cars purchased. All of the associates at this dealership are so nice and treat you in a respectful and genuinely friendly manner. Mr Black took the time to explain everything about all the features of the new MDX. I always feel I can ask any question and the answer I receive will be honest. As with all my prior purchases, this was again a very good experience.Dean asked us several times if there was anything he could do for us and Lorie took the time to explain all of our finance and service questions.With high quality associates and the outstanding customer service Acura gives, it is easy to be a repeat customer. From having our questions answered through email before we even stepped onto the lot, to the patience and low pressure sale approach shown us, to the ease of financing and delivery--it was all great. Ed Pilsner was our sales associate. He is knowledgeable, low key, throws in a little humor, and just enjoys what he does. We received the best deal on our trade, as well as the sales price on the certified TLX we purchased. No other dealer we talked with could match Hendrick. The process of purchasing a car is not our favorite thing to do, but there is really nothing negative we can say about this experience. Thank you for making us satisfied customers! More
