Alternator replacement The Electric System Check warning came on the day before. It was still on the next day, and, then the battery light came on. I stopped at the neares The Electric System Check warning came on the day before. It was still on the next day, and, then the battery light came on. I stopped at the nearest car repair place (a Firestone Center) and they advised it could be the battery or the alternator but they couldn't look at it till next day so I'd have to leave the car. They could arrange a rental car for me. I said I'd prefer to take it to Jay Wolf. He said it would cost me more and he could provide a better warranty. I said I'd prefer Jay Wolf and he said good luck getting there and gave me the phone number for a towing company. I cautiously drove the 10 miles to Jay Worlf Acura with the air conditioning turned off in 95 degree heat. The car started stalling as I got near and died just as I drove into the service bay... but I got immediate attention and service. No one except Jay Wolf mechanics have ever touched this car. I don't like paying more, but I trust the work will be done right. I was offered a loaner car but when they said it would take about an hour and a half and they'd get on it right away, I chose to wait -- in the lovely waiting room with a delicious snack. They finished on time, did a complete multipoint vehicle check and washed and vacuumed the car. I was soon on my way -- with the air conditioner turned on! More
This is how a dealership should be run After having bought two cars from Jay Wolfe Acura and having both serviced by them over the years, I would have a hard time buying a car from a differ After having bought two cars from Jay Wolfe Acura and having both serviced by them over the years, I would have a hard time buying a car from a different dealership. They've thought through every single detail of the customer experience – setting up appointments, to how I'm greeted when I pull up to the service bay, to the waiting room experience, to getting a loaner while my car is being serviced. My service advisor is Dusty Hancock. The fact that there is this continuity of a relationship with a single advisor is so valuable. I trust him to put my best interests at heart. He explains any work that needs to be done, never tries to sell me on something I don't need (quite the opposite), and communicates well about timeline, work completion, etc. After being with this dealership for several years, it would be very hard for me to buy a car from someplace else. More
