He let us take our time to pick the perfect car for myself and my kids. Jim Mattson was greatly helpful as well. I enjoyed working with both Jimmy and Jim and I will definitely be back in the future to purchase another car from Jay Wolfe Acura. I will also recommend Jimmy to all my friends and family. I could not have had a better experience purchasing a car. More
Jay Wolfe Acura, and Jim Mattson, have always been great to work with. We purchased and leased two vehicles this year alone, and the main reason why is the service we receive from Jim. I purchased two vehicles from this dealership and had a decent experience until dealing with Jeff Johson in the finance department. He actually lied to my face more than five times and refused to apologize decent experience until dealing with Jeff Johson in the finance department. He actually lied to my face more than five times and refused to apologize. He appears to be racist and is extremely condescending!!! After purchasing two vehicles totalling almost $90,000 I received two emails asking for feedback. I responded to both emails and NEVER heard anything back. I went to the dealership to try and meet with management about Jeff Johnson's behavior, but after I was told that someone would meet with me and waiting over thirty minutes, they REFUSED to stating they were too busy! They think they can treat customers any kind of way because they are the only Acura dealership in Kansas City!!! Used car salesmen have a bad reputation for a resaon: Went in to Jay Wolfe Acura on a Monday to view a vehicle I had seen online. After reviewing the vehicle, Jimmy Carpenter asked for a $500 deposit to Went in to Jay Wolfe Acura on a Monday to view a vehicle I had seen online. After reviewing the vehicle, Jimmy Carpenter asked for a $500 deposit to hold the vehicle. Handed him my debit card and said okay. I put the $500 deposit on it. Wednesday came around and I'd decided to go in a different direction - called Jimmy to ask for the deposit back. He came back with another price that surprised me, so I agreed to the purchase. Jimmy then faxed over the paperwork to my lender. Lender came back with a further request to write the invoice a particular way. Thursday morning, Jimmy faxed back over a 2nd corrected invoice to my lender. What took place over the next 30 hours was unfortunate. In contacting my lender that Thursday, they said they just needed a signed document back from Jay Wolfe Acura and they would FedEx the funds to the dealership. Contacted Jimmy and he said the lender needed to straighten something out. Somebody wasn't telling the truth. Friday morning I called Jimmy to get this straightened out. Before he was super responsive. And now? Nothing. Go in Friday afternoon, figuring I'm just going to help straighten this out and . . . remember that request for the $500? Guess what?! It had been accepted! (Though the refund request was made on Wednesday - and the $500 came directly out of my checking account immediately on Monday - and was not refunded until the next Tuesday!) Straight face. That's what Jimmy told me. I mean, you figure faxing not 1 but 2 offers to my lender would make a deal. Oh, and nevermind that the price online was $29,000 on Monday but was now $29,900 on Friday. And, well, golly jee-willickers but, um, someone else now has $500 down on it? Serious. Sceevy as all get out. As he tells me this, Jimmy wants to show me another vehicle. Then Saturday morning, Jimmy tells me, hey, there was a problem with your lender - not our fault. Well, which was it? The $500 deposit that was worthless in Jay Wolfe Acura's eyes or a problem with my lender? Can't be the lender. I'm now driving an RDX I got somewhere else. A place where they stick to their deals. I figured Acura was a good name to go with. I still think it is. But Jay Wolfe Acura is not. I write this primarily because I wish I'd read it before I went to that place. More

I feel I got an amazing value for the car I bought and an perhaps an even better deal for my lease trade-in. We first met with Jimmy to test drive another used car. He has awesome knowledge and expertise when it comes to the Acura brand and customer service. I also met with Denny V. when I considered purchasing a new car. Denny was also extremely professional and helped confirm that I was going to buy from JayWolfe. When it came to actually purchasing my Certified Preowned ILX, Jimmy made the entire process seamless and fun. I look forward to getting my maintenance done at this dealership as the facilities are modern and the staff is friendly and professional. If you're looking to get out of your old car and into an Acura; this dealership and particular salesmen are the way to go. Trust me, I did plenty of cross-shopping and research during my buying process. Thanks Jimmy! Sincerely, -Zia U. More
