My recent visit to Jarrett Gordon Ford in Davenport was intended to be a straightforward purchase of a new vehicle. While there were commendable aspects to the service, particularly from the sales staff, significant issues with management marred the overall experience. **Positives:** - I want to highlight the exceptional service provided by Judd, a sales associate at the dealership. His approach was thoroughly professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely friendly. He went out of his way to accommodate my needs, showing great patience and understanding throughout the process. His demeanor was a breath of fresh air and represented what customer service should be. **Negatives:** - Contrasting sharply with Judd's professionalism was the conduct of the dealership management. During the negotiation phase, I felt increasingly uncomfortable with the aggressive and dismissive attitude presented by the sales manager. The lack of professionalism became particularly evident when I expressed reservations about the financing terms, which were not only steep but stretched uncomfortably over an 84-month period. The manager’s response to my concerns included dismissive remarks such as "I don’t understand why you’re being like this," which was not only inappropriate but also disrespectful. - The pressure tactics employed were intense, and the manager's insistence on closing the deal on their terms rather than creating a mutually agreeable solution was disappointing. It became clear that the management was more interested in meeting quotas than meeting customer needs, which is a significant red flag for any potential buyer. This experience left a sour taste in my mouth, prompting me to withdraw from the purchase entirely. While the initial interaction with the sales staff (particularly Judd) was positive, the overall experience was overshadowed by the lack of professionalism from the management team. It’s important for potential customers to be aware of this and go into any dealings with the dealership prepared to stand firm on their terms or consider other options where the respect for customers is more uniformly applied across all interactions. It is disappointing when a potentially positive car buying experience is compromised by managerial conduct. I hope this feedback serves as a constructive critique for the dealership to improve their management practices and align more closely with the standards set by their sales representatives. More
From the moment we met our salesman, JT, we knew we made the right choice. All aspects of the process was simple and easy and never any pressure to buy what they wanted to sell. It took us about 1 minute to negotiate the deal which included a trade. The paperwork process was simple, easy and quick. At the end of it all we felt like we’ve known JT and the rest of the staff forever. We did visit 10-12 Ford dealers throughout Central Florida, and the Jarrett Gordon experience was a pleasure. Our next purchase will include the Jarrett Gordon Team! More
This was one of the best experiences buying a car. Joseph Bammer was great he listened to what I wanted didn't try and sell me on something just to sell a vehicle. He is very nice and funny and made buying my 2024 Expedition much less stressful. Then he introduced me to Sol Solomon in finance and everyone know or fears here we go now comes the hard part and everything they tell you at the front of the dealership to sell you a car goes to xxxx and the price goes way up and they try and sell you on a bunch of extras. Well that is not what happened and I was upfront with Sol at the get go and he was so easy to talk to understood where I was coming from and there was no hidden agenda no hidden cost he explained that Ford Motor was where he found the best financing and then we went through all of the documents. I was so surprised that I was not stressed when normally buying a car is so stressful going back and forth with the dealership. But working with both Bammer & Sol was great!!!!! I will come back to Jarrett the next time I need a new vehicle and would recommend them to anyone looking for a new car. Great Dealership!!!! More
